Theme: Hannah's Prayer Intent

1. Praising God for what He has done
V.1- God save her sa kaniyang kahihiyan
Hannah has no children and was mocked by her rival penninah - 1:2, 6-7
1:10 - she prayed desparately to God
1:15b- ..."I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord".
1:11 - She made a vow to God
1:19b - God answered her prayer
2:1 - She praise God for what He has done

2. Praising God for who He is

- God us the God no other one

Goal of a Christian
- Giving our acceptable life
- Pag-aalay ng ating buhay na matanggap-tanggap
Goal - An aim, purpose or desired result that someone plans and work to achieve
Biblical meaning- an object or purpose that aligns directly with God's will, scripture and the ultimate aim of Glorifying God

1. Offer
- To present or provide
- To male something available
- To volunteer or propose
- To show a willingness to do something
In the Bible - it is a gift or sacrifice presented to Goa as act of worship, thanksgiving, devotion or atonement
Pleasing Sacrifice - self giving
Why bodies not heart or soul?

Anong gusto ng katawan?
- matulog, kumain, mag relax/balasyon, easy life
Anong gusto ng espiritu?
- Prayer, word of God, Devotion, worship, Christlikeness
# We must present ourselves fully and reverently to God. Presenting our life and actions to God.

2. Oppose
V.2a - Do not conform to the pattern of this world
Easy to read version - don't change yourselves to like the people to this world
Nlt - Don't copy the behavior and custom of this world
World behavior:
- Materialsm
- Seld-indulgence
- Pride and status
- Living by secular maxims
- Constant conflict

3. Obey
- To honor God's voice, trust His wisdom and act on His instructions with suissive heart
True obedience - natural response of love and trust in God
- Even when it challenge personal desire
- It is a daily commitment to live out one's faith in tangible ways reflecting the character of Christ in the world
How you know God's will if you don't know His words?

One who obey God's word - nagtatagumpay
V.3 - katulad niya'y punongkahoy sa tabi ng batisan. Laging sariwa ang dahon at namumunga sa takdang panahon. Anuman ang kaniyang gawin siya'y nagtatagumpay.
Why? Si yaweh ang patnubay v.6a

Those who don't obey - wicked, unrighteous
- like a chaff that the wind drives away - v.4-5

"Without Christ means life is like a chaff, nothing value. With Christ, ang buhay mo ay may tagumpay!"

- God's great mercy and grace
- God's love to His people
- God do what He say's
- God protects the righteous before executing judgement
- God's judgement to the wicked/unrighteous

1. Do Not Look Back

- Luke 17:32 A in the midst of teaching about His return and coming judgement, Jesus gave a short but powerful warning, "remember Lot's wife"
Why? She was rescued from destruction but still perished because she look back v.26
A. Reveals her divided heart
- she physically left S***m but her heart remained attached to it.
# deliverance without surrender leads to spiritual ruin
B. Reveals her unwillingness to let go
# disobedience showed attachment to the old life
- Luke 9:62 - shows no kasano ti isusurot ken Jesus.
C. Partial obedience has serious consequences

# Jesus used her story as a warning for the last days - to be ready for His Return
- Attachment to the world blind people to eternal danger

2. The testimony of the Lord is sire, making wise the simple v.7b

3. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart - v.8a
- God's direction are accurate and moral, producing deep inner joy and gladness

- Why joy? Because nararamdaman mo ang katotohanan at kabutihan ng Diyos.

4. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes v.8b
- Provides moral clarity and removes spiritual blindness

1. Passionate Praise/Worship

- Every part of service is worshiping God

- God surround His people with His deep love, tender mercy and royal care

- God treat His people like royalty with honor and grace.

Why sick? Root cause
a. Due to fall of man, fallen world
Gen. 3:16-17
Rom. 5:12, 8:22

b. Result of Human Action and Consequences
Gal. 6:7 - What you sow you reap
Prov. 22:20 - drunkenness and gluttony
Prov. 17:22 - crushed Spirit dries up the bones
1 Cor. 11:30 - Failure oneself before the Lord's supper / they did not respect it.

c. God's Higher Purpose
John 9:2-3 - So that the work of God must be displayed
2 Cor. 12:7-9 - to teach him that God's grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness

Note: God does not give us sickness/ disease, God heals all diseases.
How?
