The Grand Lenten Recollection 2026
Organized by the Parish Youth Council, was a truly meaningful and grace-filled gathering that brought together 227 participants in a spirit of reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to faith. Guided by the theme of discerning the path toward faithfulness, the event became a sacred opportunity for the youth and the community to pause, reflect deeply, and strengthen their relationship with God during this Lenten season.
This successful spiritual formation activity would not have been possible without the unwavering support and generosity of many individuals and institutions who believed in the mission of nurturing the faith of our young people. With hearts full of gratitude, we extend our sincerest appreciation to Rev. Fr. Dexter V. Pomada, our Parish Priest, for his spiritual guidance, encouragement, and pastoral leadership that continually inspires the youth to grow in faith and service.
We also express our profound gratitude to Mr. Alberto E. Chavez, Principal of SCCES, for graciously allowing us to utilize the school grounds as the venue for this significant gathering. Your generosity provided a safe and conducive space where participants could fully engage in reflection, fellowship, and spiritual renewal.
Our deepest thanks are likewise extended to the Local Government Unit of Santa Catalina, headed by Hon. Mayor Peve O. Ligan, for the valuable support given to the activity. Your commitment to community and youth development greatly contributed to the success of this event. In the same spirit of gratitude, we acknowledge the support of Barangay Poblacion, under the leadership of Hon. Walmar Cocoy Taala, whose assistance and cooperation helped ensure the smooth and organized conduct of the recollection.
We are equally grateful to the elders and generous benefactors who extended their help through cash and in-kind contributions. Your kindness and willingness to support the spiritual growth of the youth reflect a beautiful example of communal solidarity and Christian generosity.
Special recognition is also given to the Clusters and Chapel Presidents, as well as the Cluster and Chapel Youth Officers, whose dedication, time, and tireless efforts in mobilizing participants and assisting in the preparation of the event played an essential role in making this recollection fruitful and impactful.
Indeed, the success of the Grand Lenten Recollection 2026 stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, faith, and shared mission within our parish community. May this gathering continue to inspire every participant to walk the path of discernment, live a life of faithfulness, and serve God and others with renewed commitment and purpose.
To God be all the glory. 🙏✨
