๐๐ญ. ๐๐๐ฐ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ was one of the seven deacons of the Church in Rome, entrusted with caring for the poor and safeguarding the treasures of the Church. During the persecution of Christians under Emperor Valerian, he was ordered to surrender the Church's riches. Instead, Lawrence gathered the poor, the sick, the widows, and the orphaned, presenting them before the authorities and boldly declaring:
"๐๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ก."
For his unwavering faith and courageous witness, Lawrence suffered martyrdom. Even in the face of great suffering, he remained joyful and faithful to Christ until the very end. His life reminds us that the greatest wealth of the Church is not found in earthly possessions, but in the people of God, especially those most in need. True discipleship is measured not by what we possess, but by how faithfully we love and serve others.
