HOLY FAMILY PARISH CHOIR
The Holy Family Parish Choir is a church-based choir of the Santuario de Santa Barbara Holy Family Parish, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, which is under the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. An invitation to be part of a grand choir for the Golden Jubilee of the Archdiocese in 2013 prompted the formation of this choir by a long-time music minister, Dr. Emmeline Beltran-Geminiano, who would later on become its artistic director and instrumentalist.
The members of the choir originated from some members of the then childrenโs choir and the youth choir, and are mostly composed of students and young professionals. Two of its original members, Angel Jessica Untalan and Macky Macanlalay, are qualifiers and graduates of the OCLP conducting class under Sir Mark Anthony Carpio, choirmaster of the Philippine Madrigal Singers.
HFPC, as it is commonly called, aims to bring man to God, uplifting his mind and spririt through prayerful choral music especially during solemn liturgical celebrations. It also aims to bring the community together through entertaining music especially during special events like birthdays, weddings and anniversary celebrations, fiestas and benefit concerts, making every event memorable and meaningful.
HFPC also brings to life music of local composers by recording the songs and sharing them in social media for others to listen, learn and enjoy.
The choir holds twice weekly rehearsals and sings every Sunday during celebrations of the Holy Eucharist and participates in parish and archdiocesan events.
We sing to evangelize.
