“We have communion with one another by virtue of the Lord Jesus Christ.” - Pastor Ramen Caliwag
Writing to a predominantly Gentile audience in Ephesus, Paul addresses the deep-seated division between Jews and Gentiles, explaining how these two groups are reconciled through the blood of Christ. This "wall of separation" was more than a cultural barrier - it was a rigid religious chasm established by the Mosaic Law. For centuries, this Law distinguished God’s covenant people from those excluded from the promises given to Abraham and David.
The grandeur of the gospel lies in its power to transcend these backgrounds. By grace, through faith in His Son, we are adopted into God’s family regardless of our past. In Christ, we are no longer strangers, aliens, or "children of wrath." Instead, we are transformed into a new creation.
As a people saved by grace, we receive a new citizenship and a new family, becoming fellow heirs to the heavenly blessings reserved for God’s holy people.
