Epistle to the Ephesians 1:13 explains how people become part of God’s family through faith in Christ. Paul says that after hearing the message of truth—the gospel of salvation—and believing in Jesus, believers were sealed with the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is God’s mark of ownership and His promise to His people. This seal shows that believers belong to God and are secure in Him.
It also serves as a guarantee of the future inheritance God has prepared for His children.

The verse emphasizes the importance of hearing, believing, and trusting in the gospel.
It reminds Christians that God not only saves them but also gives them His Spirit to guide and strengthen them. Through the Holy Spirit, believers have assurance of God’s presence and promises.
