Leviticus 19:28
"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD."

This is the verse about tattoos and body cuttings.

1. "Cuttings in your flesh for the dead"
God forbade this for Israel.

2. "Nor print any marks upon you"
The Hebrew word is _qa'aqa_ — permanent marking / tattoo. Sa panahon na yun, ang tattoo ay ginagamit para:
- magpakilala na pag-aari ka ng isang pagan god o temple
- bilang protection charm o good luck
- tanda ng pagiging alipin ng ibang tribo

God wanted Israel to be different — their identity should be in Him, not in marks of other gods.

Luke 19:1-10 — The Story of Zacchaeus

The Story:
Zacchaeus was a rich tax collector in Jericho. He was short and hated by people because tax collectors were corrupt. When Jesus passed through Jericho, Zacchaeus wanted to see Him so badly that he climbed a sycamore tree. Jesus stopped, looked up, and said: "Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house."

People murmured because Jesus went to a sinner's house. But that day, Zacchaeus repented — he promised to give half his goods to the poor and repay four times those he cheated. Jesus said: _"This day is salvation come to this house... For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."_ (v.9-10)

1. God Sees Those Who Truly Seek Him
Zacchaeus was short in height but tall in desire. He didn't let his shame, height, or crowd stop him. If you truly want Jesus, He will see you, no matter where you are hiding.

2. Jesus Comes to Sinners, Not to the Perfect
The crowd thought Zacchaeus was too sinful. But Jesus didn't wait for him to be clean — He went to his house _while_ he was still a sinner. Your past does not disqualify you. Jesus still calls your name today.

3. True Salvation Brings True Change
Zacchaeus didn't just say sorry — his heart changed his wallet. Real faith is not just saying "I believe," it's living it: returning what was taken, helping the poor, making things right.

Memory Verse:
"For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." — Luke 19:10

=Reflection=
Are you like Zacchaeus — willing to climb above your pride and shame just to see Jesus? And if Jesus came to your house today, what would change in your life?

Is Judas already saved?

Here are some Biblical references about Judas;

1. Jesus Himself said Judas was lost
➡️ "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name... and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled." - John 17:12

Jesus called him "son of perdition" — meaning son of destruction, doomed to be lost.

2. Jesus said it would be better if he was never born
➡️ "it had been good for that man if he had not been born." - Matthew 26:24
Jesus would never say that about someone who would be saved in heaven.

3. He never truly believed
➡️ "For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him." - John 6:64

John 12:6 also says Judas was a thief, he stole from the money bag. He followed Jesus for money and position, not from faith.

4. He felt remorse, not repentance
➡️Matthew 27:3 says Judas "repented himself" — but the word there means regret/regret for consequences, not turning to God for forgiveness. True repentance goes to Jesus. Judas went to the priests, then hanged himself (v5).

Peter also betrayed Jesus (denied Him 3 times), but Peter repented and ran TO Jesus. Judas felt guilty and ran AWAY from Jesus.

So what happened to Judas?
The Bible says he "went to his own place" (Acts 1:25) — a place of judgment.

Important lesson for us:
Judas is a warning. You can be:
- Close to Jesus (disciple for 3 years)
- In church / ministry (he was treasurer)
- Know the Bible and see miracles.. and still not be saved, if your heart never truly surrendered to Jesus.

Salvation is not about being near Jesus, it's about belonging to Him.

Peter and Judas both failed Jesus. The difference: Peter returned to Jesus for grace. Judas did not.

How about you, what's your belief about Judas?
