THE HISTORICAL BEGINNING OF THE
RENEWED CHURCH OF THE EVERLASTING GOD INC. (RCEG)

Its beginning is truly an example of what it means to “live out God’s calling in your life.” Regardless of what or who may try to hinder you, you will not give up or be dismayed. This was the case of a group of Christians who decided to come together to strengthen and encourage one another instead of transferring

to a different church due to pain and sorrow caused by some people and situations in the ministry. Headed by a missionary pastor named Ms. Sharon Oñate, who was commissioned by God to take care of these Christians, they formed a group called “Care Group” and used their experiences as motivations to move forward and be more yielded to God. By May 2016, the group started to meet and gather every Sunday afternoon for a time of fellowship where they aspire to support and help each other to grow together in love, faith, and hope in Christ Jesus. This is very evident on the kind of close relationship that was established in the group. It was indeed a place where you can see and feel that you are truly part of the family of God. After several meetings, new members were added and with that the group decided to have a formal Sunday morning service which took place on the 5th of June 2016 at the residence of one of the members who whole-heartedly opened her home that is located at #6 Narra St. Langgam, City of San Pedro, Laguna. With the increased in number, the group prayed for a name as it has now become a church because at this time it is already composed of thirty members including children and adults. As an answered prayer, Renewed Church of the Everlasting God Inc. Even for a short period of time, it already has various ministries and regular weekly services which gave way for the continuous spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social growth of the members. From then on, it also upholds the vision and mission that God has given which it will steadfastly carry on all for the glory of God!
