Jesus never invited us to follow Him alone. There is a reason so much of the Gospel happened around tables, long walks, shared bread, and honest conversations. God knew there would be seasons too heavy for one person to carry, so He made the Church to look like a family people who pray for each other when faith feels weak, stay through grief, and keep pointing one another back to Christ. Sometimes the clearest reminder of God’s love is not found in having an easy road, but in realizing He sent people willing to walk it with you.

Sometimes you don’t realize how easy it is to build your faith around comfort. You stay where things feel familiar, where people match your preferences, where community unknowingly becomes more about your own ease than the heart of Jesus.

But when you look at the way Jesus loved people, it always moved outward. He made space. He reached for people others overlooked. He carried hope beyond comfortable circles.

Maybe that’s why the church was never meant to feel like a private pool where you stay safe and settled. You were always meant to live more like the ocean: open, moving, overflowing with the love of Christ into the lives of others. Because real community stops being about ourselves when it starts looking more like Jesus.
