Last day of wake: March 13, 2025 (Thursday)

Her remains will be transferred from SMI San Pedro, Laguna, on March 14 (Friday) at 8:00 AM to her hometown in Panglao, Bohol.

With deep sorrow but with faith in the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of

Sr. Rosario M. Bongo, SMI
October 7, 1956 – March 5, 2025

A faithful religious Sister for 35 years, a dedicated educator, and a woman of substance, Sr. Rose lived a life of service and devotion, touching countless hearts with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the Mission.

We are profoundly grateful for the gift of her life, which she so generously offered to the Congregation of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate and to the mission entrusted to her by the Lord.

May her soul rest in the loving embrace of our Heavenly Father, and may her legacy continue to inspire us to live with faith, love, and purpose.

We humbly ask that you keep us and the family of Sr. Rose in your prayers during this time of grief.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace.

On this Feast of the Nativity of Mary, we celebrate the dawn of our salvation. Blessed Mother, bring our prayers to Jesus, your Son, and guide us closer to His heart.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death.

Saint Clare | August 11

Clare was born in Assisi, Italy, in 1193 to wealthy parents, and was taught to read and write as well as spin yarn and do needlework. She had little interest in her luxurious surroundings (she lived in a palace), and influenced by her mother's religious devotion, Clare dedicated her life to God at an early age.

Today we are also celebrating the ONOMASTIC DAY of our beloved SR. CLARA, like St. Clare she also lived her life dedicated to the Lord. We love you SR. CLARA!- From your SMI Family😘🙏
