PPCRV-DSP: AGENTS OF HOPE; BUILDERS OF CHANGE
On July 12, 2025, a heartfelt Thanksgiving Assembly was held at St. John the Baptist Parish, Poblacion, City of Calamba. The event began with a Thanksgiving Mass presided over by Most Rev. Marcelino Antonio M. Maralit, Jr., Bishop of San Pablo. In his homily, Bishop Junie encouraged the PPCRV to remain steadfast as agents of hope and catalysts of change in society—affirming that the seeds of transformation were already sown in the last election. He challenged the PPCRV to develop programs that would help the People of God fulfill their role as responsible voters and faithful citizens in preparation for the upcoming 2028 elections.
During the post-Communion prayer, the newly appointed PPCRV Core Group officers—including all district and vicariate coordinators—took their oath of service and were officially commissioned by Bishop Junie, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their mission.
Following the Mass, Rev. Fr. Christian B. Pajutan, assistant priest-director of the PPCRV, officially launched the 3-Year Formation Program—a concrete response to the bishop’s challenge. Fr. Christian reminded everyone that genuine formation cannot happen overnight. It requires a deep, ongoing process to awaken the Filipino spirit in every citizen—inviting them to hope, to engage, and to take part in building a brighter future for our nation. As part of this initiative, the PPCRV–Diocese of San Pablo will hold Months, with Voter Educators visiting schools, parishes, and Basic Ecclesial Communities to offer voter education and promote a CHAMP Election.
After the talk and formation session, the PPCRV distributed certificates of appreciation to all the volunteers who generously served during the May 12, 2025 National and Local Midterm Elections.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Most Rev. Marcelino Antonio M. Maralit, Jr. for his constant support and guidance. Our thanks also go to our dedicated priest-coordinators—Rev. Fr. John Lino L. Calampiano and Rev. Fr. Christian B. Pajutan. Special recognition goes to our tireless Core Group, led by Lay Coordinator Dra. Elissa San Buenaventura, who have offered their time, energy, and service from the pre-election period, through election day, and even now in the post-election phase—ensuring the welfare of our volunteers across all parishes.
We also express our heartfelt gratitude to St. John the Baptist Parish, City of Calamba, for graciously hosting this meaningful assembly. Our sincere thanks to Rev. Mons. Mario Castillo and the entire parish community for their warm hospitality, generous assistance, and unwavering support throughout the celebration.
And most importantly, we thank all the PPCRV volunteers who gave their time, talents, and treasure during the last election—and who now stand ready to offer even more as we journey toward 2028. Your love for God, our nation, and your fellow Filipinos shines through in your selfless service. Only God can truly repay all that you have given.
May the Lord continue to bless the Philippines with faithful volunteers like you. With united hearts and renewed commitment, we move forward—toward our shared vision of a CHAMP Election in 2028!
