Thomas Aquinas was born in Italy in 1225. He spent his childhood in a monastery and then studied the work of the philosopher Aristotle in Naples. He went on to attend college at the University of Naples and continued to study religion. There he joined the Dominican order of monks, continued to study under this order, but his family was not pleased with this decision. So while he was traveling, his family had him kidnapped and returned home. Eventually he was able to run away and travel to Rome. From there, he moved to Paris to study at the Faculty of the Arts at the University of Paris.

The school of thought born of the theories of Aquinas is called Thomism.
Thomism was rooted in the belief in the notion that truth can be derived from any source. Aquinas was a realist and he even studied many different religious texts in order to create a broader and more expanded mind. The philosophy was also heavily influenced by the argumentative reasoning associated with Aristotle.

St. Thomas Aquinas is best known for his writings. He wrote about the unity between faith and reason and that everything comes from God the Creator. The Summa Theologica was his last and most famous work. Many people view St. Thomas as a great philosopher like Plato or Aristotle. However, on his death bed he said, “All that I have written seems to me like so much straw compared to what I have seen and what has been revealed to me.” Aquinas passed away on March 7, 1274. He was canonized as a saint on July 18, 1323.

Blessed St. Thomas Aquinas, you taught others about faith, reason and Jesus through your writings, intercede for us so that Jesus may fill our lives with goodness and truth. Help us to be like you and your deep love for Jesus. Many people have come to know Jesus more deeply because of your writings, may we all glorify God with your intercession. Amen.

St. Angela was born on March 21, 1474 in Desenzano, a small town on the shore of Lake Garda in Lombardy.At the age of 10-years-old, Angela and her older sister became orphans and went to live with their uncle in Salo. There they led a quiet and devout Catholic Christian life.Angela was inspired by the Holy Spirit to dedicate herself to the Lord and to give her life in service to the Church to help everyone grow closer to the Lord.

When she was 20 years old, her uncle died, and she returned to her family home. She saw a great need for Christian education for girls at the time women were educated only if they were rich or if they became religious sisters. Angela, herself, had only received an education by her own hard work.

St. Angela saw the risk that uneducated girls in her own region of northern Italy would end up being abused sexually or financially and sought to counter this possibility through education. Saint Angela’s cooperators did not understand their dedicated virginity as a failure to find a husband or a rejection of religious life in a convent. They emulated the early Christian orders of virgins as spouses of Christ who served the children of their Beloved in the world.

Living in the first part of the 16th century, St. Angela was far ahead of her time. Teaching orders of nuns became normative in the Church throughout the centuries, staffing Catholic schools throughout the world. Women make homes. Men just live in them. Saint Angela sought to change society one woman at a time by infusing every home with Christian virtue emanating from the heart of the woman who ran it. She trained future wives, mothers, and educators in their youth, when they were still able to be formed. St. Angela Merici died on January 27, 1540. Clothed in the habit of a Franciscan tertiary, Angela was buried in the Church of St. Afra in Brescia.

Hi guys i want to share with you my personal reflection for this night

When i looked at Mary at our chapel, I only saw a beautiful Lady. Walang korona ang Mahal na Birhen ang nakaluklok sa aming kapilya. Walang mga palamuti. Pinatitingkad ng mga ilaw na nakatapat sa kanya habang kami ay sabay sabay na nagdarasal ng Rosaryo.

Lagi nating nakikita ang mga matitingkad na kadamitan ng mahal na Birhen sa ating mga Parokya. Ang kanyang gintong mga korona na ating inaalay para sa kanya.

Saan nga ba nanggaling ang Korona ni Maria? Sino ang nagbigay nito?

Alam nyo ba na nagpakita ang Mahal na Birhen ng Fatima na wala syang korona? Eh saan napunta at bakit may mga Korona ang Mahal na Birhen ng Fatima na nakikita natin ngayon?

Tao ang nagbigay sa kanya ng korona dahil sya ay Ina ni Hesus.

Sa aking pagbubulay bulay sa mga Korona ni Maria. Napatanong ako. Sino ba ang korona ni Maria?

Una, nang binati ng Anghel ang Mahal na Birheng Maria, isang karangalan ang kanyang nakuha. Sa kataasan ng karangalan ay mas lalo syang nagpakumbaba. Ito ang korona ng pagpapakumbaba at pagsunod sa Diyos

Ikalawa, nang mailuwal nya si Hesus, ang kanyang anak. Si Hesus ang kanyang pinakamamahal na Anak na masasabi kong higit kaysa korona na natanggap ng ating Mahal na Birhen. Isang hiyas na hindi mapapantayan. Ang Diyos na nagkatawang tao ay hindi kailanman maitutulad sa korona. Ngunit sa simbulo ng korona, masasabi kong korona ni Maria ang kanyang anak na si Hesus.

Ikatlo ang mga pumipintuho sa Mahal na Ina. Ang mga deboto ng Mahal na Birheng Maria ang korona ng Mahal na Birhen

Simbulong maituturing ang mga pilak, ginto at mga hiyas na makikita natin sa mahal na birhen. Sino ang korona ng Mahal na Ina? Ikaw. Ikaw ang Korona ng Mahal na Ina. Nawa ay manatili ka sa pagmamahal ng isang Ina at tayo ay kanyang maihahatid sa kanyang Anak na si Hesus
