Sharing some excerpts from last Sunday's message: Work as Witness 🌱

We were reminded that our work matters, not because it saves us, but because we're already saved. We get to reflect God's image and take part in His work, right where we are.

Grateful for another work week and for the reminder that it's never wasted when it's done for Him. 🙌🏼

Last Sunday we began a new series: Theology of Work.

From the start, God designed our work, even the mundane kind, to be an act of worship. 🌱

In Genesis 2:15, God placed Adam in the garden "to work it and keep it," while everything was still perfect. Work wasn't a result of sin. It came before it. The words "work" and "keep" are the same words later used for priests serving in the Tabernacle. God has always seen our work as worship, not just a way to survive.

On July 18, we welcomed 6 new scholars at our Scholars & Parents Orientation SY26-27, casting the vision of raising Christ-centered leaders for their communities and nation. 🙌🏼

On August 16, we held our first monthly Scholars Update, equipping our scholars with God's word. A foundation for growth, vision, and wisdom to become who they're called to be. 📖

We often see the workday as something mundane, something that we just need to get through. From the first ringing alarm to the end of our shift, many times “work” is just “what we do between rest days.”

On the other hand, we often see church as something ritual, something that makes the rest of our week holy.

The truth is that there is no mundane versus ritual, no sacred versus secular. Work is worship, part of our holy calling.

In the next three weeks, let us study the theology of work: how God designed work for us to flourish, and to reflect His glory in our communities.

Over these past four weeks in Called to Courage, we have been reminded that courage is not the absence of fear. It is the assurance that God goes before us and grants us strength for all He has called us to do. 🙌🏽

From feelings of inadequacy, being overwhelmed, facing failures, and the temptation to give up, the story of Joshua has shown us that God remains faithful in every circumstance. 🙏🏼

We concluded the series this week with "Strength to Faithfully Serve God Together Through Challenges and Victories" — a reminder that faith was never meant to be walked alone.

After Israel's defeat at Ai, Joshua led God's people to repentance. And God responded not with rejection but restoration, giving them the strength to rise and fight again. Our failures don't disqualify us from God's mission. 💙

Before Jericho, God's instructions defied human logic and understanding, yet obedience brought down the wall. Our minds and perspectives are limited. His ways often aren't meant to be understood before they're obeyed. Courage isn't found in having it all figured out. It's found in trusting God enough to walk forward anyway.

For in Him, faith always makes sense. ✨🙌🏼
