Today, we mark Shrove Tuesday — the final day of Ordinary Time before we enter the sacred season of Lent.

As a Church community, we gather for the Rite of Burning of Old Palms, where the blessed palms from last year’s Palm Sunday are reverently burned to become the ashes that will be used on Ash Wednesday. This meaningful tradition reminds us that what was once a symbol of triumph now becomes a sign of humility and repentance.

From the joyful cries of “Hosanna” to the solemn reminder, “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return,” we are invited to reflect on the fleeting nature of life and the call to conversion.

May this day prepare our hearts for a grace-filled Lenten journey — a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Let us enter Lent with sincere repentance and renewed faith.

“𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏.”

As we begin Kwaresma 2026, we are invited not just to observe a season—but to embrace transformation. This is a time to pause, to reflect, and to return to the Lord with all our hearts.

Lent is our journey from brokenness to healing, from darkness to light, from sin to grace. May this sacred season renew our faith, deepen our prayer life, strengthen our sacrifices, and inspire us to become better disciples of Christ.

Please be guided with the schedule, kaparokkia!

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

Please be informed that there will be no scheduled Anticipated Mass in our parish tomorrow (Saturday) at 5:15 PM, as our parish priests will be attending the diocesan celebration at the Cathedral for the Closing of the Jubilee Door.

This significant moment marks the conclusion of our Jubilee journey and invites us to remain united with the wider Church in thanksgiving and prayer.

We kindly ask for your understanding and continued prayers for our priests and our parish community. May this occasion deepen our faith and strengthen our unity as one Church.

Thank you, and may God bless us all.

As we reach the final night of Simbang Gabi, we give thanks for the gift of our parish community—our spiritual family in Christ. In the parish, we are welcomed, nourished by the Word and the Sacraments, and strengthened by one another’s faith. Here, we learn to love, to serve, and to journey together as one body in Christ.

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Savior, may our parish continue to be a home of faith, hope, and charity, where no one is a stranger and all are embraced as family. United as one parish family, let us joyfully welcome Emmanuel, God-with-us.

“𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.” (𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 18:20)

Grateful to God for our parish—one family in faith and love.

On this eighth night of Simbang Gabi, we thank God for the precious gift of children. Each child is a sign of God’s love, entrusted to families to be welcomed, protected, and guided in faith. In their innocence, joy, and trust, children remind us of God’s presence and call us to nurture life with patience and responsibility.

As we await the coming of the Christ Child, may our families become safe and loving homes where children can grow in wisdom, faith, and grace. Let us pray that every child may be cherished, defended, and formed in the love of God.

“𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙.” (𝙋𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢 127:3)

Lord, help us cherish and protect every child You entrust to us.

On this seventh night of Simbang Gabi, we lovingly entrust our families to the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As a Mother who perfectly said “yes” to God, Mary teaches our families to trust, to listen, and to follow God’s will with humble hearts. Under her maternal protection, our homes are guided toward peace, faith, and deeper love for Christ.

As we prepare for the coming of our Savior, let us consecrate our families to Mary, asking her to watch over our homes, strengthen our relationships, and lead us always closer to her Son, Jesus.

“𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙, 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧.” (𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 19:27)

Mary, Mother of the Holy Family, pray for our families.

As we continue our Simbang Gabi journey, we are invited to allow the peace of Christ to dwell in our homes and hearts. True peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of Christ—guiding our words, healing our wounds, and teaching us to forgive. When Christ reigns in our families, love grows stronger, understanding deepens, and unity is restored.

May our homes become places of prayer, reconciliation, and calm amid life’s challenges. As we prepare for the coming of the Prince of Peace, let us ask the Lord to fill our families with His lasting peace.

“𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨.” (𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 3:15)

Lord, make our homes instruments of Your peace.

On this fifth night of Simbang Gabi, we give thanks to God for the priceless gift of mothers. Through their nurturing love, patient sacrifice, and unwavering faith, mothers reflect the tenderness of God and shape hearts toward goodness and compassion. In their daily acts of care—often unseen and unspoken—life is cherished and faith is quietly formed.

As we await the coming of Christ, let us honor and pray for all mothers: for their strength, their generosity, and their constant “yes” to love. May their example inspire our families to grow in faith, hope, and selfless service.

“𝙃𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙪𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙.” (𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙨 31:28)

Let us entrust all mothers to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

As we continue our Simbang Gabi journey, we reflect on the sacred calling of families to become partners of God in giving life. Life is not only shared through birth, but also through love, care, sacrifice, and the daily nurturing of faith. Every act of kindness, protection, and guidance becomes a participation in God’s creative and life-giving work.

May our families honor the gift of life in all its stages, welcoming each person with gratitude and responsibility. As we prepare for the coming of Christ, let us ask the Lord to bless our families, that they may faithfully cooperate with Him in building a culture of life rooted in love, faith, and hope.

“𝘽𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙄 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙗, 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪.” (𝙅𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙖𝙝 1:5)

Let us cherish life as God’s precious gift and mission.

On this third day of Simbang Gabi, we honor and recognize the vital role of fathers in the life of the family. Fathers are called to lead not only by authority, but by love—through their presence, sacrifice, and faithful example. In their quiet strength and daily efforts, children learn responsibility, trust, and faith.

May our fathers be guided by God’s wisdom, strengthened by prayer, and inspired to reflect the loving care of our Heavenly Father. As we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, let us pray for all fathers—that they may continue to nurture, protect, and guide their families in faith and love.

Let us keep our fathers in our prayers today.
