Jesus, the Life

John writes: “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (I John 5:11-12).

It is plain from these verses that only those who abide in Jesus Christ have eternal life, so if we are to retain this life we must continue in Him, for “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4).
