Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary. It is observed as a day of mourning and reflection for Christians worldwide. The term 'Good' signifies the sacrifice made by Jesus for humanity's sins. Good Friday is also dubbed as Great Friday, Black Friday, or Holy Friday.

Today, let us think about the cross that we carry - the sins we committed, ask forgiveness from God; the mistakes we made ask forgiveness from others and also forgive ourselves.

Remember to Love and Be Loved as we are worthy because Jesus died on the cross for us. God so Loved the World that He gave us His only Son 🤍

On this Maundy Thursday, we remember the Last Supper; where Jesus, in His final moments before suffering, gave us the gift of Himself. As He broke the bread and shared the cup, He said, “Do this in memory of me.” In these words, He was not only instituting the Eucharist, but inviting us into a love that remembers, a love that gives, and a love that stays.

In the stillness of the upper room, just hours before His arrest, Jesus chose to sit and share a meal with those closest to Him. Yet, this table was not filled with perfect people.

Around Him were men who would soon fall asleep when He asked them to pray, a disciple who would deny even knowing Him, and one who would betray Him for thirty pieces of silver. Still, Jesus did not turn any of them away. He broke the bread, passed the cup, and welcomed each of them to partake.

He looked upon flawed, fearful, and failing hearts; and still offered them a place at His table.

When Jesus said, “This is my body, given for you,” He was establishing a new covenant rooted entirely in grace. The Last Supper reminds us that God’s love is not something we earn. We do not need to be perfect to be invited. We only need to come as we are, empty our hands, and receive the gift He freely gives.
