Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts as we lift up the people of Mindanao who have been affected by this powerful earthquake. You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
Lord, we pray for those who have lost loved ones. Surround them with Your comfort and peace that surpasses understanding. May they find hope and strength in Your presence during this time of grief.
We pray for those who have been injured. Stretch forth Your healing hand upon them and restore their bodies, minds, and spirits. Grant wisdom and endurance to doctors, nurses, rescuers, and all who are working tirelessly to provide aid.
Father, protect those who are displaced from their homes. Provide shelter, food, clean water, and every necessity. Move the hearts of communities, churches, organizations, and government leaders to respond with compassion and generosity.
For those who are fearful because of aftershocks and uncertainty, remind them that You are sovereign over all creation. Give them courage for each new day and assurance that they are not alone.
Lord Jesus, be near to every family, every child, every elderly person, and every community affected. Bring unity among neighbors, wisdom to authorities, and strength for rebuilding what has been damaged.
May this tragedy become a testimony of love, compassion, and faith as people come together to help one another. We ask for Your mercy upon Mindanao and Your protection from further harm.
"In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God." (Psalm 62:7)
We entrust all who are suffering into Your loving care.
