Flores de Mayo, meaning "Flowers of May," is a cherished Filipino Catholic tradition celebrated during the month of May. It is a month-long offering of flowers, prayers, and songs in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, recognizing her virtues, motherhood, and special role in our faith. Through this devotion, we deepen our love for God and our commitment to following Mary's example of humility, obedience, and faith.

Deeply rooted in Filipino culture and Catholic faith, 𝙎𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙡𝙖 is one of the most treasured traditions of Flores de Mayo. 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐤𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐞ñ𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐫𝐨 | 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In celebration of the Feast of Señor San Isidro, the faithful community gathered today, May 16, 2026, for the solemn by “Misa para kan Señor San Isidro,” beginning with a Holy Procession around the community, followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass presided over by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joaquin Bertos Jr.

This annual celebration honors San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, laborers, and rural communities, whose life exemplified humility, diligence, and unwavering faith in God. As a devoted farmer from Madrid, Spain, San Isidro became known not only for his hard work but also for the many miracles attributed to him, including the well-known story of angels helping him plow the fields while he attended Holy Mass.

His feast is traditionally celebrated every May 15, a time closely associated with the planting season and the beginning of agricultural activities in many communities. For this reason, the month of May holds special significance, as devotees offer prayers of thanksgiving for blessings received and ask for guidance, protection, and abundance in the coming harvest.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all parishioners, devotees, sponsors, and everyone who joined the procession and Holy Mass. Your presence, devotion, and participation made this year’s celebration meaningful and truly memorable.
