WEAR WHITE ON NOVEMBER 30, 2025 🤍🕊️

His Excellency, the Most Rev. Crispin B. Varquez, Bishop of Borongan, asked parishioners to fill our churches with white during Masses as part of the Nov. 30 rally against corruption at the People Power Monument in EDSA and in other places around the country.

During the Nov. 23 prayer rally in EDSA, outgoing CBCP president Cardinal Ambo David urged citizens to demand transparency and accountability. "Nothing will change," he said, "in the government if those who should be held accountable are not held to account." At the same event, David reiterated his call for wide participation in the 'Trillion Peso March' on Nov. 30, 2025.

However, since EDSA is far from the province, Varquez urged parishioners to simply wear white during Mass on Sunday, Nov. 30. "This will show our oneness with them [...] to express our peaceful and prayerful rally against corruption," Varquez said in his message to the people.

As we culminate the Month of the Most Holy Rosary, the Lunang Chapel Youth Ministry gathered in prayer and fellowship through our Basic Catechism, Walking Rosary, and Sharing activities. Together, we deepened our love for Mama Mary and strengthened our bond as one youth community in faith. 🙏🌹

UPDATED. The Bishop of Borongan, the Clergy of the diocese, together with the Abendaño and Asis Families, mourn the passing of our beloved priest, FR. ALFONSO "PONIE" ABENDAÑO ASIS.

Born on February 17, 1944, Fr. Ponie was 78 YEARS OLD. He was 48 YEARS A PRIEST, ordained on May 19, 1975. He returned to his Creator this 9:15 AM, September 10, 2022.

We join his loved ones, his former parishioners, and the people whom he shepherded in prayers for his eternal repose. Details about his wake will follow.
