My First Love

I went on a date with my not-so-little sister this Hearts Day, and I’m so grateful that we were able to bond and spend time together. Since it was Valentine’s Day, there were so many people around, families, couples, friends, and siblings like us. Everything felt so beautiful. I truly felt the love through the music, the vibe, the bonding, and all the laughter.

After our bonding, I realized that I also wanted to have a date with my first love. I was reminded why I love the people around me and it’s because Jesus loved us first. He sacrificed everything for us, and that is the greatest love of all.

So I worshiped and spent time with Him. I said, “Lord, I want to have a date with You tonight. I want to spend more time with You.”

Thank You, Lord, for reminding me that every day is Hearts Day, because every day You love us unconditionally and endlessly. Your love is enough!Actually, it’s more than enough. I love You, Lord. You are my first love, and thank You for loving me even when I do not deserve it. Help us to love like Jesus 🤍

Let this remind us that February 14 is just a date on the calendar, but love is meant to be celebrated every day, shared with those around us, and most especially with our first love, Jesus. 🤍

I love you all 🫶🏼🤍

Prayer and Fasting 🤍

It was our first time attending Prayer and Fasting last January, and since then, so much has changed in our relationship and in our individual lives.

• No more nonsense arguments
• We still disagree, but we talk it through and resolve it within minutes
• Emergency prayers were established. Whenever worries or doubts suddenly arise, we pause and pray to Jesus
• Our mindset was transformed and aligned with what God desires for our lives and our relationship
• More time with Jesus
• Daily Bible reading and devotion, individually and as a couple
• A growing willingness to deepen our faith, pursue ministry, and lead others to Christ
• A habit of acknowledging Jesus in everything and fully trusting Him
• The Lord humbled us

We were reminded that prayer and fasting is a form of worship. And now I understand why it is so important in our walk with Christ. Our hearts were truly transformed by Him, and I am in awe every single day of what the Lord has in store for us.

Challenges and trials are still there but our God is powerful and awesome. He will never fail to provide and protect us.

I can’t fully explain how God changed me. But I know He did. I am still a work in progress, and I will always be. But God is good all the time and He is there to guide us on our journey. I just want to share this as a reminder that it is important to worship and adore our Father. He deserves all the glory, honor, and praise.

Thank You, Jesus 😭🤍

His grace is enough.

To be honest, I’ve been feeling anxious these past few days. I felt like I wasn’t growing, like I was being left behind and seeing people my age already stable or settling down, while I’m still figuring things out. And I realized something important: it’s wrong to try to figure everything out on my own.

Why? Because we were never meant to do life alone.

What I’ve learned is to surrender everything to the Lord. I remember what my partner always tells me: peace does not come from the absence of problems, but from the presence of God. And that alone is enough to calm my heart.

As I started surrendering everything to Him, I realized that we all have our own journey and our own timeline.

And here are some of the blessings that God gave me.

First, I have my family, complete and healthy. I praise God for my family.
Second, I have a partner who loves God, someone I share this journey with, especially our spiritual growth. We are both a work in progress, and I’m grateful for how far we’ve come.
Third, the Lord has entrusted us with businesses that provide for us. Yes, there are moments of worry, but God has never failed to provide. He blesses us with more than what we need, and for that, I thank Him every day.

Sometimes we want more. But when we look back and remember all the blessings God has already given us, we realize we are not left behind, we are not failures, and we are exactly where the Lord wants us to be.

Trust His timing. Be contented. Surrender everything to the Lord.

I praise God for all the opportunities and blessings He has given me.
Indeed, my God never fails. 🥹🤍

“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Prayer works!

I praise God even in the simplest moments. He is always working. I’m sharing this because my partner and I experienced God’s goodness and grace during our commute one day.

After church, we decided to ride a jeep going home. Unfortunately, no jeep passed by. We waited for about 15–20 minutes, then decided to walk to another street where more jeeps usually pass. We told ourselves that maybe God wanted us to walk so we could get some exercise too.

As we were walking, the jeep we had been waiting for passed by us. We laughed and said, “Sayang, kung kailan naglakad tayo saka may dumating na jeep.” But we were reminded of what God had impressed on our hearts, that we should walk. So we prayed that when we reached our destination, we would be able to ride a jeep right away, especially since we were already hungry. 😅

And the Lord answered our prayer immediately! When we arrived at the street, we saw a modern, air-conditioned jeep approaching. We told each other, “Sana ito na ‘yon,” and yes! It was the ride home we had been waiting for.

We thank God because even though we struggled at first, He rewarded us with something better. I remembered what our pastor said that day: Rejoice in the Lord always, and have real faith even in trials.

Our struggles are also gifts from God, not to make us weak or depressed, but to strengthen us and transform our character. God allowed us to walk so we could get some exercise, since we hadn’t been working out for the past few weeks, and then He rewarded us with a much more comfortable, air-conditioned ride.

See? We should Faye (pay) attention always. Be grateful, because the Lord never fails.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

2025 was a year of lessons, stretching, and growth.
There were moments when I felt like giving up, and moments when I wanted to slow down and do nothing. I experienced happiness and love, as well as disappointment and annoyed but above all, I witnessed the grace and mercy of the Lord.

Things didn’t always unfold the way I planned, yet God faithfully revealed His purpose in every season. He sustained me, strengthened me, and blessed me beyond what I deserved. Through it all, He made me wiser, deeper in faith, and taught me to trust and even love the process, no matter how difficult it became.

I share this as a reminder of how amazing our God truly is. Our lives may be imperfect, but our God is perfect, and that alone is enough to hold on to in every season.

Thank You, Lord, for the opportunities You opened in 2025. As we step forward, I pray that we become faithful and responsible stewards of every blessing You place in our hands. And I thank my family, friends and my partner for always being there for me. I love you all 🤍

Happy New Year, everyone!
May this year draw us closer to Jesus! Less of us, and more of Him.

Let us Faye (pay) attention to Him this 2026. ✨🤍

I remember our trip to Siquijor. It was a big challenge for us because of the unexpected problems that happened before we even left. We were anxious and worried that things might not go well or that the trip might even get cancelled. But as we prayed, God surrounded us with good people who blessed us and helped us along the way. May the Lord bless them more and more.

When the day of the trip finally came, all the worries turned into excitement, full of hope, joy, and good vibes. Siquijor was truly a paradise, especially because of the people we were with. And through this trip, God allowed us to meet unexpected people who gave us life lessons and realizations.

The first was our tour guide. Kuya lived such a simple life. We asked him if he ever wanted to go back to Manila since he had worked there before. He gently smiled and said, “Ayoko na po. Gusto ko po ng tahimik at simpleng buhay kasama pamilya ko.”
It was touching to see how content he was as long as he had his family, he felt complete. While we tend to worry about things we don’t really need, the Lord used Kuya to teach us the beauty of contentment. It’s okay to dream big, but it should always align with what God wants for our life.

The second was a kuya from Dumaguete. We booked a Grab trike because it was cheaper than the terminal tricycles, and we ended up having such a meaningful conversation with him. He told us about his children and how he works hard to provide for their education. Since Siquijor is just a 40-minute boat ride from Dumaguete, we asked if he had visited the island. He said he hadn’t because even with a ₱350 boat fare, he still couldn’t afford to go. He chooses to put his family first.

And it made us think… sometimes we stress about our wants. To be honest, we didn’t need that Siquijor trip, yet we were so anxious about it at the start. Meanwhile, there’s Kuya who lives so close to the island but doesn’t have the resources to go while we had the privilege to explore it and enjoy so much of it and still found ourselves wanting more.

Through that, the Lord reminded us to be grateful. To appreciate what we have. To recognize His provision. He truly provides more than we realize. We just have to be obedient and fully surrender our lives to Him.

Thank You, Lord, for that trip, for the blessings, the provisions, the lessons, and the people who helped us along the way. Thank You for the two kuyas who left a beautiful impact on our hearts. May You bless them richly.

And so, it is important to Faye (pay) attention to Him. Always put Him first. 🤍

I remember wanting the New Balance 530 and the Longchamp handbag so badly. I’ve been planning to buy them for months, but something always held me back. I’d tell myself, “I don’t need it,” or “It’s not a priority right now.”

As someone who used to be materialistic, once I wanted something, bibili agad kahit di naman kailangan so the Lord really humbled me. He made me realize that not everything I want, I need. There’s nothing wrong with buying shoes, bags, or anything you like, but for me, God was teaching me contentment and surrender. I learned to appreciate what I already have and understand that everything I own is from Him and what He gives, He can also take away.

Fast forward to today, the Lord blessed me with the exact shoes and bag I wanted. And even better? The New Balance pair was a gift from a close and special friend, super unexpected! Thank you, ate. 🤍 And the Longchamp bag was a gift from my parents. Thank you so much, mom and dad 🥹🤍 I truly appreciate your gifts for me.

Receiving these gifts made me realize: everything truly has a purpose. “Ah kaya pala hindi ko binili, kasi ibibigay pala ni Lord through the people I love. At for free pa!” 😌✨

See how amazing God is? He doesn’t just give what you need, sometimes He gives even more. Thank You, Jesus, for these wonderful gifts and for the gift of life itself. 28 years full of challenges, love, grace, and blessings. You are a great Father. I love You, Jesus 🤍✨

Thank you to my family and friends who supported me through all my ups and downs. Your presence is the greatest gift I could ever receive. 🤍

I will Faye (pay) attention to Him always in all ways 🫶🏼

“It’s okay to get mad as long as you don’t stumble.”

Those words hit me last time I was on a motor ride. I booked a rider going to a mall near my house. A 10min ride from home. It was raining, and when I checked the app, he was still 10 minutes away. I patiently waited since I wasn’t in a hurry.

When he arrived, he said, “Ma’am, ang layo mo naman, 10 minutes away. Bakit hindi mo na lang ni-cancel?”
I replied, “Ay kuya, dapat po ba mag-cancel kapag ganun?”
He said, “Oo, malayo kasi eh.”
I told him, “Hindi ko po alam, sana po nag-message kayo.”

Honestly, I didn’t receive any message from him. I could have cancelled it. Then before we go, he added, “17 minutes away pala, ang layo naman.”
I told him, “Kuya, malapit lang po yan traffic lang.”

At that point, I was already mad because he kept complaining. The mall was really not that far. He even drove recklessly, almost like he was trying to annoy me. In my head, I was already composing what I wanted to say once we arrived, something that would call him out. As in negative words.

But then the Lord spoke to me: “Don’t say that. Just tell him, ‘Thank you, kuya. God bless po.’”

So that’s exactly what I did. Even when he didn’t help me get down (which most riders usually do), I still chose to respond with kindness.

That moment reminded me of what my former dgroup leader once said:

“It’s okay to feel angry, but don’t let it make you stumble.”

Instead, pray for the person who offended you.

So I prayed for him. Maybe he was just having a bad day or carrying a heavy burden. Managing emotions is never easy, especially when dealing with difficult people like kuya. But by God’s grace, we can choose patience, love, and gentleness. That’s what the Lord wants me to do during that time.

I praise Jesus for letting me experience His love and grace and for showing me my own progress.

This is what happens when you Faye (pay) Attention to Him alone.

Last time, we had an event in Okada. As someone from the middle class with limited resources, I already knew that food there would be a bit pricey — that’s why we plan to bring our own food and water to save. Unfortunately, we forgot them. 😅🥲🤪

We had no other choice but to buy there. And yes, as expected, it was indeed expensive — “hindi makatarungan,” “ginto”! 😂 Even a bottle of water cost higher than the usual. But since it was so hot outside and we really needed it, we bought one. Just imagine if we had to buy 5–8 bottles to last until 2AM, ang sakit sa bulsa! Haha.

As I walked around, I started to pray, asking the Lord to sustain us and give us strength throughout the day. My head was already hurting from the heat. When I went inside to use the restroom, I saw a water dispenser. I asked one of Okada’s staff if we could refill our bottles there, and they said yes.

Then I noticed the verse written on the dispenser:

“John 10:10b — Jesus said: I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Right there, I couldn’t help but cry. It was such a simple thing, yet such a powerful reminder that God knows our hearts and our needs. Even something as small as water, He provided us with unlimited refills.

My point: God moves even in the smallest details of our lives. We just need to truly depend on Him and pray sincerely from our hearts. Sometimes, we ask for things that aren’t necessary or meaningful, that’s why He doesn’t give them.

“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
