PANALANGIN PARA SA STO. CRISTO

Panginoong Hesus, habang pinagmamasdan Kita, nakikita ko ang Iyong mga paa't kamay na nakapako sa krus, ang Iyong tagilirang buong lupit na tinuhog, at ang Iyong katawang nakabayubay at wala nang buhay. Ang puso ko'y puno ng habag sa Iyong pagdurusa at kalungkutan dahil sa aking mga sala at sa pagkakasala ng buong mundo na nagbigay sa Iyo ng hirap at dusa. Kasama ni Birheng Maria na buong tapang na nakatayo sa paanan ng Krus, at ang Iyong mahal na disipulo, tulutan Mong makapiling Kita ng ilang sandali.

Mangusap Ka sa kaibuturan ng aking puso upang maunawaan ko ang Iyong walang hanggang pagmamahal na humahantong sa Krus at upang makainom sa bukal ng buhay na dumadaloy mula dito.

Mahal na Santo Cristo, nawa'y matanto namin ang kahulugan ng Krus sa aming buhay. Bigyan Mo kami ng lakas at diwa upang mapasan namin ito ng buong tiwala, pag-asa at pagmamahal. Amen!

PRAYER TO THE STO. CRISTO

Lord Jesus, when I see You up there, hands and feet nailed to the cross; Your side cruelly pierced; Your lifeless body hanging between heaven and earth. My heart goes out to You, in pity for Your sufferings, and in sorrow for my sins and for the sins of all the world that caused such agony and torment. With Your Blessed Mother, who stood bravely by the Cross, and with Your beloved disciple, allow me to accompany You for a while.

Speak to me in the depths of my being, so that I may come to understand a little of the infinite love, that brought You to the Cross, and to drink from the fountain of life that flows from it.

(Pause for a moment)

Santo Cristo, grant us the grace to understand the meaning of Your cross in our lives. Bless us with good health in mind and spirit so that we may carry our own crosses with faith, hope and love. Amen!

Due to the heavy rainfall and ongoing flooding affecting our city, our parish is currently providing temporary shelter to evacuees.

Those who wish to help may donate hot meals, dry clothes, essential supplies, or cash at the Parish Volunteer Station.

Let us continue to support and pray for all affected families and communities during this difficult time.

Blessed Sunday, KADA!

In yesterday's homily it reminds us that life is not a journey without direction. We may face uncertainty, struggles, and moments when we wonder where we are going, but our faith gives us a deeper sense of purpose. As Christians, we are created for God, and our ultimate destination is heaven. That hope gives meaning to our journey and encourages us to keep moving forward with faith, trusting that every step brings us closer to the fullness of life with God.

HABEMUS PROMOTER DE MISSION!

With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we celebrate the election of Bro. Joaquin Miguel L. Castillon as the Mission Promoter of the International Dominican Youth Movement, officially welcoming him into the IDYM International Commission.

From the Philippines to the world, this new mission calls Joaquin to serve alongside young Dominicans from different countries, cultures, and communities, working together to strengthen the missionary spirit of the Dominican Youth Movement and inspire young people to bring the Gospel wherever they are called.

In the spirit of St. Dominic, whose preaching set hearts ablaze, may Joaquin embrace this mission with courage, zeal, and joy, continuing the Dominican tradition of contemplating and sharing the fruits of contemplation with the world.

May this new responsibility be a reminder that the mission is never ours alone. It is a mission we carry together, as one Dominican family, united in faith, fraternity, and the proclamation of the Gospel.

May you continue to carry the fire of St. Dominic wherever the mission takes you.
