MIC Sisters: Elene Punay, Irene Ferrer, Adelaida Santiago, Violeta Tutanes, Lily Manzana, Melanie Delfin, Katherine Broso, Gerarlyn Saldua, Tran Thi Bao Yen and Postulants: Stephanie Ostos, Aive Rivaca and Nguyen Thi Thom are on the Go reaching out to share packs of groceries with our public jeepney, taxi and bus drivers.
During their annual retreat, and in light of the ongoing crisis we are experiencing nowadays, the Sisters were inspired to reach out to others—especially those who are deeply affected by these trials. Among them are public transport drivers who can no longer make ends meet due to the high cost of fuel. Much of their income now goes solely to fuel expenses.
This inspiring idea was shared by Sr. Elene who invited the Sisters to participate by contributing whatever they could and sharing it with those in need, particularly public transport drivers. The Sisters responded generously, and this initiative was put into action. They went out into the streets to distribute packed food and groceries to drivers passing by.
