PILGRIM IMAGE OF ST. MARY MAGDALENE

The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Mary Magdalene in Pililla, Rizal will bring the Pilgrim Image of St. Mary Magdalene to our Parish from September 18–20, 2026 (Friday–Sunday).

This special visitation invites our community to deepen our devotion, enrich our prayer, and encounter Christ through the witness of St. Mary Magdalene, the Apostle to the Apostles—a faithful disciple who remained at the foot of the Cross and became a courageous witness to the Risen Lord.

Guided by this year’s theme, “At the Foot of the Cross: Praying the Rosary, Proclaiming Hope,” may this pilgrimage lead us to contemplate Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection, and inspire us, like Mary Magdalene, to proclaim with faith and courage: “I have seen the Lord.”

Join us in welcoming the Pilgrim Image of St. Mary Magdalene and in making these days a time of prayer, encounter, and renewed hope.

07 SEPTEMBER 2026 | 1st Anniversary of Canonization of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati and Saint Carlo Acutis

Today, we joyfully celebrate the First Anniversary of the Canonization of Saints Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis, two young men who remind us that holiness is not reserved for another time, another place, or another generation.

They were young. They had friends, dreams, passions, struggles, and ordinary lives. Yet they allowed Christ to transform the ordinary into something extraordinary.

St. Pier Giorgio Frassati teaches us to climb “To the Heights” — seeking Christ above all things and finding Him in the Eucharist, in prayer, in friendship, and in loving service to the poor.

St. Carlo Acutis reminds us that our true destination is Heaven, and that even in the midst of the modern world, we can choose Christ every day. His life proclaimed: “The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven.”

Their canonization was not simply the recognition of two extraordinary young men. It was a message to the Church, especially to the young:

You were created for greatness. You were called to holiness.

May their lives inspire us not merely to admire the saints, but to become saints ourselves.

Let us make our lives a masterpiece for God.

St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us!
St. Carlo Acutis, pray for us!
All you saints of God, pray for us!

🙏🏻 Verso l’Alto! Per il Cielo!
❤️ Created for Greatness, Called to Holiness.

Blessed Sunday, KADA!

Water is a gift that gives life. We need it to live, to grow, and to sustain our communities. Yet, the storms and floods that have affected many communities in recent weeks remind us that water can also bring destruction when our environment is neglected and when we fail to care for the world entrusted to us.

The theme “Living Water” reminds us that water is more than a physical necessity it is also a symbol of God’s life-giving presence. Just as water nourishes the earth, God’s love nourishes and renews our hearts.

The floods we have witnessed remind us of our shared responsibility. We cannot always prevent storms and calamities, but we can choose how we care for creation and how we respond to those who are affected. When others are in need, we are called to become a source of “living water” through compassion, generosity, prayer, and service.

May today’s Holy Mass remind us to be grateful for every drop of water and, more importantly, to recognize the One who gives us the water of life. Let us care for our environment, help those affected by calamities, and become instruments of hope to others.

Water gives life. God gives us the Living Water. May we, in turn, become a source of life, hope, and compassion to one another.

PANALANGIN PARA SA STO. CRISTO

Amen!

PRAYER TO THE STO. CRISTO

Lord Jesus, when I see You up there, hands and feet nailed to the cross; Your side cruelly pierced; Your lifeless body hanging between heaven and earth. My heart goes out to You, in pity for Your sufferings, and in sorrow for my sins and for the sins of all the world that caused such agony and torment. With Your Blessed Mother, who stood bravely by the Cross, and with Your beloved disciple, allow me to accompany You for a while.

Speak to me in the depths of my being, so that I may come to understand a little of the infinite love, that brought You to the Cross, and to drink from the fountain of life that flows from it.

(Pause for a moment)

Santo Cristo, grant us the grace to understand the meaning of Your cross in our lives. Bless us with good health in mind and spirit so that we may carry our own crosses with faith, hope and love. Amen!

Blessed Sunday, KADA!

In life, we often say that we want to do God’s will. We may know what is true, recognize what is right, and even understand what God is asking of us yet knowing is not the same as doing. There can be a resistance within us that keeps us comfortable, afraid, or unwilling to change.

St. Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2 that we are called to “be transformed by the renewal of our mind.” God’s will is not meant to remain something we simply understand; it is something we are invited to live.

True transformation begins when we allow God to change not only our thoughts, but also our desires, choices, habits, and hearts. The challenge is not merely to ask, “Lord, what is Your will?” but to have the courage to say, “Lord, give me the grace to do it.”

Faith becomes real when what we know in our minds becomes what we choose with our hearts and live out through our actions.
