The Gospel: The gospel of Jesus Christ is the central message of Christianity. It is a message of eternal life and redemption for all who believe. The focus of the gospel is Jesus, the Savior of the world. There are four books in the New Testament known as the Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. All four gospels describe the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesu
s Christ. It is by believing in the gospel message of the Bible that one receives forgiveness of sin and enters into a right relationship with God. (Acts 20:24; Romans 1:16; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:6-9)
Evangelism: Jesus started the church for the purpose of spreading the gospel to the entire world. Everything we do is centered on loving people in order to share the life changing message of the gospel. We practice organized and personal evangelism as a church. A church that believes there is a Hell will do everything possible to give the world a fighting chance. We believe it is essential to introduce our friends and family to Jesus Christ. (Matthew 9:36-38; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Philippians 1:27)
Gathering: The Bible explicitly teaches that a church body is to meet together for encouragement, prayer, teaching, and worship. We believe that a church is like a family and should enjoy one another and have all things in common. Although we all come from different backgrounds and cultures, we have decided to come together with the common purpose of advancing the cause of Christ. (Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 5:19-21)
Family: The family is at the top of our priority list. Family relationships working properly enhance the ministry of the church. The Bible presents clear principles and roles for each member, husband to wife, and wife to husband, children to parents, etc. The success of each home is essential to the success of the church’s influence in the world. (Genesis 2:24; Joshua 24:15; Ephesians 5:22-25; Ephesians 6:1-3)
Serving: We believe it is our responsibility to serve one another and our community. Our compassion for people compels us to meet their needs. A church must offer more than a verbal message in order to help community understand the love of Christ. Jesus is our example of the greatest servant who ever lived. Our ultimate goal in service is to bring those we serve into a relationship with Him. Matthew 20:27, 23:11; Matthew 14:19; Philippians 2:7; Matthew 5:16)
Giving: Giving reveals the true heart of a believer. The church functions under the direction of Christ based on what each member gives toward His kingdom work. The subject of giving is weaved throughout the Old and New testaments of the Bible. The church is not about money, but it is connected to worship and the work of the church. Financial freedom is found in the words of Jesus, “Give and it shall be given unto you”. Giving also includes time and service. (Luke 6:38; Matthew 23:23; II Corinthians 9:6-7; Philippians 4:15)
Bible: We believe the KJV Bible is God’s perfect words and it is our instruction manual for life. It reveals God’s love and judgment. We believe the King James Bible 1611 is the preserved perfect Word of God... We use the King James translation of the Bible because of manuscript evidence and preservation issues. The Bible is ancient, but it is fresh and relevant to every culture. We value the Bible by reading, learning, memorizing, and sharing its teachings with others. (Ps. 12:6-7; Psalm 138:2; Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17; James 1:25; 2:12)
