With hearts full of gratitude, we look back on a sacred and memorable District Youth Temple Trip held at the Manila Philippines Temple, led by President Alfie Canaria together with dedicated youth leaders who lovingly guided and strengthened the youth throughout the journey.

For three meaningful days, the youth were given the precious opportunity to step away from the world and feel the peace and holiness found in the house of the Lord. Within the temple grounds, hearts were touched, testimonies were deepened, and each soul was reminded of their divine identity and eternal purpose.

A special highlight of the trip was the visit to the Philippines Missionary Training Center, where the youth witnessed firsthand how missionaries are prepared to serve the Lord. It was a powerful experience that inspired many to look forward to serving and dedicating their lives to God’s work.

As the prophet has taught, “The temple lies at the center of strengthening our faith and spiritual fortitude because the Savior and His doctrine are the very heart of the temple.” Truly, this temple trip allowed the youth to draw nearer to Jesus Christ and strengthen their resolve to follow Him.

This was more than just a trip, it was a sacred journey of faith, growth, and spiritual renewal. May the memories and lessons gained continue to guide our youth as they stand firm in righteousness and walk the covenant path.

Last Sunday was a meaningful and inspiring gathering as we held our High Council meeting, presided over by President Alfie Canaria.

We warmly welcomed Brother Jaycee Bacay as a newly called member of the High Council. His willingness to accept this sacred responsibility reflects faith, humility, and a desire to serve. As assignments were given, it was evident that each calling is not just a task but a trust from the Lord to help build and strengthen His work.

The meeting was centered on reporting and, more importantly, on how we can further strengthen the district. It reminded us that progress is not measured only by numbers, but by the lives we uplift, the unity we foster, and the faith we nurture within each member. True strength in the district comes when leaders and members work hand in hand with love, diligence, and a shared vision.

We were encouraged to lead with purpose, minister with sincerity, and never lose sight of the individuals behind every report. As we move forward, may we continue to strengthen one another, deepen our commitment, and build a district rooted in faith, service, and Christlike love.

Last Sunday, March 29, 2026, marked a significant and sacred moment for the San Jose 2nd Branch as new leaders were called to serve the Lord and His people.

With hearts full of faith and willingness, we sustain Kristan Lacanilao as Branch President, together with his counselors, Kevin Jester Malibiran as First Counselor and Adolph Russell Gabao as Second Counselor. May the Lord guide and strengthen them as they lead with love, humility, and dedication.

We also extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing leaders, Ruperto Munar Jr. and Lester Canete, for their faithful service, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment to the branch. Your efforts have blessed many lives, and your legacy of service will always be remembered.

As leadership changes, one thing remains constant—the Lord’s work continues to move forward. May we all unite in supporting our leaders and in strengthening one another in faith.

Here’s to new beginnings, continued service, and a stronger, more united San Jose 2nd Branch.
