The Integration Weekend aims to form seminarians in the pillars of formation in their seminary life: the spiritual, human, intellectual and pastoral. These we call the SHIP of the seminary.

In this month’s Integration Weekend, the activities are divided into several themes. “Peter has spoken” (Vespers, Encyclical Review, First Friday Devotion, and Benediction); “God-in-others encounter” (Zumba and Sports); “God-in-self encounter” (Spiritual Direction); “God-in-formation encounter (Pillar of Formation Talk, Penitential Service, Confession, and Recollection); God-in-nature encounter (Lauds and Meditation in Nature).

𝐒𝐓. 𝐅𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐈 || 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬

Saint Francis was born at Assisi in 1182. After a carefree youth, he renounced his paternal wealth and committed himself to God. He led a life of evangelical poverty and preached the love of God to all. He established a rule which a number of his companions followed and which gained the approval of the Holy See. Subsequently, he founded an order of nuns and a society of laypersons who practice penance while living in the world. He died in 1226.

Father,
you helped Saint Francis to reflect the image of Christ
through a life of poverty and humility.
May we follow your Son
by walking in the footsteps of Francis of Assisi,
and by imitating his joyful love.
Amen.

𝐒𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐞́𝐫𝐞̀𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 || 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡

Saint Thérèse was born on January 2, 1873 in France. At the age of 15, she entered the Carmelite convent. In her “Little Way”, she believes that holiness can be achieved through small acts of love, patience, and kindness in daily life. On 1897, at the age of 24, she died of tuberculosis. Saint Thérèse was canonized on 1925 by Pope Pius the XI. She became the patron saint of missionaries.

O God, who open your Kingdom
to those who are humble and to little ones,
lead us to follow trustingly in the little way of Saint Thérèse,
so that through her intercession
we may see your eternal glory revealed.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

On the occasion of the solemnity of St. Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila, patron saint of Filipino catechists, the catechists of the Parish of St. Peter the Apostle had their gathering. They were graced with the presence of Rev. Fr. Froilan Pacete, their parish priest, and the seminarians of St. Peter’s Seminary. The seminarians are partners of the catechists in the pastoral work as they conduct catechesis as well at the near high school.

This moment was an opportunity for the seminarians to get to know more about the life of catechists and the deep-seated fulfillment in partaking the ministry of Jesus.

The 4th Year Seminarians (Lawud Class) - Discipleship Stage, conducted catechesis to the Grade 9 and Grade 10 students of San Pedro National High School. The school catechesis is their regular 30-minute pastoral assignment every Tuesday afternoon. This experience becomes a valuable training ground for them as they aspire to become evangelizers who will minister to a broader community in the future.
