Joseph Mission Institute, was built in 1951 by Italian missionaries belonging to the Congregation of the Oblates of St. Located beside the parish church of San Jose, Batangas, the Oblates of St. Joseph Minor Seminary used to house the high school and college seminarians of the congregation. After more than two decades of existence, due to scarcity of vocation and difficult times, the high school d

epartment was closed. The college seminarians, nonetheless, remained and continued their studies in the diocesan seminary. In the late seventies, a group of young boys, mostly elementary students who serve during the mass, called the Marelloโ€™s Altar Knights was organized in all parishes under the administration of the Oblates of St. This group has become a fertile ground for young boys to stir their interest in pursuing vocation to the priesthood. Consequently, a great number of possible applicants coming from the said organization became evident so that the congregation deemed it wise to reopen the High School department. It was also providential that the college seminarians who were once residing in the same building have moved much earlier to their new home in Marawoy, Lipa City. Hence, in 1984, the former St. Joseph Mission Institute was revived with new vigor and a new name, the Oblates of St. Joseph Minor Seminary.

Curious ka ba kung ano ang ginagawa ng aming highschool seminarians sa aming seminaryo?
Tara dine sa aming seminaryo sa San Jose Batangas, magSearch-In ka!!!
Ang Search-in Program po ay para sa mga kabataang tulad mo na nais malaman ang buhay seminaryo at nagdi-discern sa bokasyon na nakalaan sa kanila. Malaking tulong ang Search-in para mas makita mo kung saan ka mas tinatawag ni Lord. Usually, tumatagal ng 3 days ang โ€œSearch-inโ€sa aming seminaryo, mula Biyernes ng 4 PM hanggang Linggo ng after lunch.
Dito ay titigil ka sa aming seminaryo at susubukang isabuhay ang aming way of life. Kung ano yung daily routine namin, gagawin mo rin. Magdarasal kang kasama namin, kakain kang kasabay namin, maglalaro, manunuod ng movie, magbabasa, etc. May mgagroup sharings din na magaganap sa Search-in para makita mong hindi ka pala nag-iisa sa pag-discern ng kalooban ng Diyos para saโ€™yo.
At ang panghuli, parte ngsearch-in ang exams at interview. Dito, kakausapin ka ng pari para malaman ang intensyon at motibasyon mo.
Kaya kung Grade 6 ka na o Junior Highschool and Incoming Grade 11 student ka, pwedeng pwede ka sa programang ito. Kaya, ano pang hinihintay mo, magSearch-in ka na.
