Sister Aira Sumait of Rizal 1st Ward was set apart today as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by President Nixon Cruz. She has been assigned to labor in the Philippines Naga Mission. She will enter Philippines Missionary Training Center on Friday, April 10, 2026 to begin her sacred service.

For the next 18 months, she will devote her time and effort on sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, serving others, and strengthening the faith of those she meets. As she leaves her family behind, she embarks on this journey with Faith and a Deep Love for the Lord.

Elder John David Valdez of Rizal 1st Ward was set apart today as a full-time missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Stake President Nixon Cruz. He has been assigned to labor in the Philippines Naga Mission. He will enter Philippines Missionary Training Center on Friday, April 10, 2026 to begin his sacred service.

For the next two years, he will devote his time and efforts to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, serving others, and strengthening the faith of those he meets. As he leaves his family behind, he embarks on this journey with faith and a deep love for the Lord.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced adjustments to the Sunday meeting schedule, effective September 2026.

These changes are intended to strengthen gospel learning at home and at church. Sunday School, Relief Society, Elders Quorum, Young Women, and Aaronic Priesthood classes will now meet every week, with shorter and more focused lessons.
