Be like Mary before being like Martha!✨️

𝗔𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗟 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘

𝘈𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘺

Martha has always been seen as the sister who prioritized serving God, while Mary is seen as someone that Christ adores because of her devotion. But let us be reminded that both of them are loved and appreciated by Jesus for what they have done. Martha chose to do what she could do in order to serve God and his people. Mary chose to offer Jesus the expensive perfume and spread it using her hair out of devotion to Jesus Christ.

The story of Martha and Mary was not stated in the Bible to compare the two of them, but for us to know that not all good is important. Choose what is better in order to glorify God, and that is to have the willingness to know Him better. Being devoted to Jesus comes with the desire and eagerness to serve Him. Be like Mary before being like Martha. Be at His feet before doing anything else.

Annual celebration of National UMYFP Sunday with the theme "UPGRADE" – upgrading our relationship with God. Making us realize that we should be still in His presence, but actions matter in order for us to have a deeper and closer relationship with God. Upgrade ourselves into someone who will give the best in magnifying God's Name.

– This text reminds us to do good deeds, embodying Christ-like living. Thus, God wants us to not be ashamed in declaring that the He is good to each of His children. It is the time to reflect on our own actions, and always ask ourselves if everything that we've been doing is glorifying the good God we serve.
