Everyone wants to be happy, but figuring out how to achieve it can be tricky. The Bible has some cool insights on finding true happiness, and it’s not about getting more stuff or just thinking about ourselves. Verses like Job 20:5 and I Timothy 6:6-7 remind us that things like money and possessions don’t bring lasting joy. Instead, the Bible suggests that real happiness comes from knowing and connecting with God.

Psalms 16:8-11, 37:4, and 1:1-3 show how focusing on God’s teachings can lead to a joyful and fulfilling life. Philippians 4:10-12 talks about being content in any situation, and James 1:2-4 even says we can feel joy during tough times.

The big idea is to look to God for happiness, not quick fixes. Think about how you can grow closer to God and discover what true contentment means for you. Challenge yourself to explore this deeper relationship and see how it can transform your idea of happiness!

Anger is a strong emotion that can affect your relationships and spiritual path if not handled well. The Bible teaches that anger isn't wrong when it's aimed at sin with the right mindset.

However, when it's fueled by revenge, it can lead to more trouble. The Bible advises us to be aware of anger's destructive power (James 1:19-20, James 3:6-8) and to resolve it quickly (Eph. 4:26), replacing anger with forgiveness (Eph. 4:31-32). We're also warned against spending time with angry people (Prov. 22:24-25) and learn that it's wise to overlook offenses (Prov. 19:11).

The challenge is to manage anger with patience and forgiveness, mirroring God's grace.This week, can you find one situation where you choose patience and forgiveness over anger?

Reflect on where discontent sneaks in—whether in life circumstances, appearance, or the quest for popularity. Let's strive not for possessions, but for a deeper connection with our purpose and spirituality.

Challenge yourself: Can you find contentment in the present moment? What areas of your life are you struggling with contentment? How can gratitude change your perspective?

Last Sunday, we were reminded that real love is more than kilig. Biblical love is a choice—to act with truth, grace, and boundaries, even when it’s hard.

From friends and family to difficult people, loving like Jesus means pointing others closer to God, not just making them feel good.

When you hear the words "dedication” or "loyalty,” what comes to mind? Does the concept of commitment ever seem frightening to you? From careers to relationships, the lack of commitment in our culture is everywhere. The concept has
affected the heart of the church as well.

The term “Christian” is supposed to refer to someone who lives their life “following Christ.” Yet, if you look at the church today, many believers
only follow Christ when it is convenient and/or easy for them.

A commitment to Christ is about living for God no matter the cost! It is a willingness to make necessary changes in your private and social life and a willingness to be bold and take a stand for truth. A committed Christian realizes that any other pursuit in life falls short of the joy that comes with living wholeheartedly for our Savior Jesus Christ. (Phil. 3:8) Does the level of commitment you have need improvement?

Have you ever felt guilty over something you have done and
find yourself continually asking, “Why did I do that?”

Guilt can bring overwhelming emotions, heavy hearts and even depression. A sense of guilt is not a bad thing in and of itself, for through it we see our need for the work of Christ on the cross. But for the believer who has been forgiven, ongoing guilt is a failure to understand what Christ has accomplished.

The good news of the gospel is that our sins have been completely removed (Ps. 103:12). That fact should not leave us filled with misery over past failures, but filled with joy and peace in the victory of Christ (Ps. 51:12)!
