My Testimony of God’s Healing, Grace, and Provision ❤️☝️

Yesterday, May 13, 2026, marked the second anniversary of my open‑heart surgery for severe mitral valve prolapse. As I look back on May 13, 2024, I am overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God who carried me through every step — from diagnosis, to the operating room, to recovery. Truly, His presence never left me.

I give all glory to the Lord, my Great Physician. His grace sustained me in weakness, His love embraced me in fear, and His provision met every need. I am deeply grateful for my surgeon, Dr. Chris Cheng, my cardiologist, Dr. Patricia Cheng, and the nurses whose care reflected God’s compassion.
This testimony is also a remembrance of my beloved husband, Pastor Butch, who stood by me during those difficult days. Even while facing his own health battles, he became my strength, comfort, and support. Though he went home to be with the Lord on November 17, 2025, I will forever cherish the way he cared for me and the love we shared. His presence in my journey was a living reminder of God’s mercy.

I thank the Lord for my family, our church members, friends, and ministry partners who surrounded us with prayers and love. In every tear, in every trial, and in every moment of uncertainty, God showed Himself faithful.

If there is one truth I have learned, it is this: God’s grace is sufficient. He is our healer, sustainer, and provider.
Today, I lift my voice in gratitude and declare: God is good. His mercy endures forever. May this testimony remind us all that no burden is too heavy, no sickness too strong, and no trial too great for the mighty hand of our God.

To Him be all the glory, now and forever! ❤️☝️

🌟 FUSION 2026 Recap 🌟
Last April 26 at 2PM, our church hosted a localized FUSION gathering with all OPC leaders and their group members.

The purpose of our FUSION was to review our lessons from the 24 Vital Areas for a Disciple of Jesus Christ. We revisited Lessons 1–10 in a fun and engaging way — through interactive games and group activities that helped us reflect, connect, and grow together in faith.

It was a joyful time of learning, fellowship, and strengthening our commitment to follow Jesus more deeply. 💖

Carissa Wesleyan Church, SJDM Bulacan
Theme: United in Christ, Growing Together (Ephesians 4:1–16)

Last Sunday evening, our youth gathered for a Spirit-filled Open Forum Fellowship that truly ignited hearts and strengthened unity in Christ.
✨ The program began with an Opening Prayer led by Ptra. Jo, followed by a Devotion on Ephesians 4:1–16. We were reminded to:
-Walk worthy of our calling with humility, patience, and love
-Live as One Body, One Spirit, united despite different talents
-Be equipped to serve, knowing the youth are part of the church now
-Grow into maturity, rooted in truth and love
The devotion closed with a challenge: “How will you live worthy of that calling?”
💬 During the Open Forum, the youth shared openly in small groups, answering heartfelt questions about their desires for the Lord, their vision for serving in the next 1–3 years, the challenges they face in their faith, and how the church family can support them. Each one also made a personal commitment to God.
🙏 At the end, they embraced accountability by choosing prayer partners. Together, they prayed and declared: “United in Christ, Growing Together!”
🍽️ The fellowship was joyfully capped with a sumptuous dinner generously donated by the Jammang family. We thank them for their kindness and generosity.
Truly, this gathering was a testimony of God’s work in the lives of our youth—igniting passion, deepening unity, and strengthening commitment to serve Him.
To God be the glory! ✨

📖 The Word of God was shared by Ptra. Jo Eguico, with the message entitled:
“The Prayer That Changes Everything” (Philippians 4:6–7)

Thanksgiving/Praise Report –
Overnight Swimming Fellowship
April 3–4, Maverick Resort, Bulacan

We joyfully give thanks to the Lord for the successful overnight swimming fellowship held at Maverick Resort last April 3 to April 4. This memorable gathering was made possible through the generosity of Sis. Isang Jammang, in celebration of the birthday of her beloved father, Bro. Roland Jammang.

The fellowship was filled with laughter, sumptuous food, and joyful singing through videoke. Before diving into the swimming and eating fellowship, we first paused for a short devotion anchored on Psalm 90:12 – “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Truly, it reminded us to value each day as a gift from God.

We also lifted in prayer our birthday celebrants, Bro. Roland Jammang and Sis. Rubelyn Lopez, with Bro. Rod Lorca leading us in a heartfelt prayer of blessing.

We praise God for the unity, joy, and love shared during this time of fellowship. Indeed, it was a celebration not only of birthdays but of God’s goodness and faithfulness in our church family.

To God be the glory! 💖☝️🥰🫶
