Sotera Amar, a Bible woman from Sampaloc Baptist Church started a mission work in the area of Sapang Palay, she started a bible study in the house of Mr. Pablo Caacbay. The Lord blessed the work and the number of attendees grew each week. Soon the house could no longer accommodate the growing number of reached out, and so the brethren decided to transfer the congregation into its present location.
The church grew in number and so the congregation decided to be independent from the mother church, the Sampaloc Baptist Church. The plan and desire of the church was forwarded to Rev. Tim Lardeizalbal, the senior Pastor of Sampaloc Baptist Church who cordially accepted an agreement was signed by the church leaders for us independence. The Lord, at this point in time directed Pastor Tito Fuerte to head the church , group of young men and women who challenged to heed the call for Christian service entered Bible School to be fully equipped in church ministry. Many of them established their own church. Pastor Tito Fuerte serve Sapang Palay Baptist Church for five years, upon graduation from Bible School, Mario Morales served SPBC for almost a year, after which Pastor Lito Lucing took over the pastorship for a period of time. Apparently, the Lord is in control of the work and mission of SPBC, who at the time in s shack-like abode. The Lord led the members to unanimously choose a man with a big heart and compassion for the work and vision of the ministry in the person of Pastor Ben P. This man of God was mightily used by the Lord. In due time a new concrete church dedicated and committed full time church workers helped to carry out the vision. The work prospered and the Lord continues His tremendous blessings in the Lordβs vineyards. We praise the Lord for His faithfulness, guidance, direction and wisdom for 40 years that He bestowed to Pastor Ben P. Caacbay in leading SPBC family. Our vision and prayer is to have quality and quantity member.
