13 years of faith, friendship, service, and memories at the altar.

On August 10, 2014, a beautiful journey began as the Batch John Berchmans answered the call to serve at the altar. From young altar servers to young men growing in faith and responsibility, the years may have passed, but the memories and lessons of serving God remain.

Today, we look back with grateful hearts for the friendships formed, the sacrifices offered, the countless Masses served, and the moments that helped shape our vocation of service.

May St. John Berchmans, patron of altar servers, continue to inspire us to serve with humility, reverence, discipline, and love.

As we celebrate Altar Servers' Month 2026, we give thanks to God for the gift of every altar server who generously answers the Lord's call to serve at His holy altar. Through prayer, formation, discipline, and faithful service, may we continue to grow as true disciples of Christ and become living witnesses of His love in our homes, schools, communities, and parish.

May this month renew our commitment to serve with humility, reverence, and joy, remembering that our ministry is not merely a responsibility but a vocation rooted in the Holy Eucharist.

Let us entrust all altar servers to the intercession of St. John Berchmans, patron saint of altar servers, that we may persevere in holiness and remain steadfast in our mission of serving Christ and His Church.

Mag-upod kita sa pagselebrar sang misteryo sang Balaan nga Eukaristiya kag mangayo sang madamo nga grasya para sa aton kaugalingon, pamilya, parokya, kag banwa.

The Ministry of Altar Servers successfully conducted the Recollection for the Parents of the Ministry of Altar Servers Aspirants, a meaningful gathering that emphasized the vital role of parents as the first educators of faith and indispensable partners in the Christian formation of their children.

The recollection was facilitated by Bro. Reynan B. Sibanta, Ministry Adviser and Head of the Board of Formation and Discipline, who led the parents in reflecting on their sacred vocation as the primary teachers of faith. The session also highlighted the importance of fostering a Christ-centered home and building a strong partnership between the family, the Ministry, and the Parish in the holistic formation of every aspiring altar server.

The program likewise included an orientation on the Ministry of Altar Servers, covering the formation program, the expectations of aspirants, attendance policies, and the significance of active parental involvement through the Ministry of Altar Servers Parents' Association (MASPA).

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents and guardians for their active participation, openness, and commitment to accompanying their children in this journey of faith and service. Together, let us continue to nurture young disciples who will faithfully serve the Lord with reverence, humility, and love.

𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐘

The Ministry of Altar Servers of the Parish of San Joaquin held the Rite of Aspirancy to 22 aspiring altar server, marking the beginning of a sacred journey of service at the altar of the Lord.

As a visible sign of their acceptance into the Aspirancy Stage, our new aspirants were invested with the crucifix, a symbol of their commitment to follow Christ with humility, discipline, and faithful service to His Church.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our newly accepted aspirants and their parents.

We pray that this marks the beginning of a meaningful journey of faithful service, deeper discipleship, and unwavering commitment to Christ and His Church. May our patron St. Joachim and the Blessed Virgin Mary intercede for them as they continue their formation.

Sta. Teresa Prayer and Retreat House, Sambag, Jaro

A grace-filled gathering of the Ministry of Altar Servers marked by prayer, formation, and renewal in service to the Lord’s altar. This retreat became a meaningful opportunity to grow in faith, strengthen fraternity, and deepen the call to serve with reverence and joy.

Guided by the theme “Family Strengthened in Christ: Home, Faith and Service,” the experience reminded every participant that their ministry flows from a Christ-centered family life and is nurtured through prayer, discipline, and love for the Church.

May this moment captured in our group photo serve as a lasting reminder of our shared commitment to serve faithfully and joyfully for the glory of God.
