✝️ 𝗪𝗛𝗬 𝗪𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗦

Before the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass begins, the Church encourages us to spend time in prayer and recollection. Entering God's house with a prayerful heart helps us participate more fully in the sacred mysteries and prepares us to encounter Christ in the Eucharist.

✝️ 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧

𝗧𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀

Prayer before Mass disposes our hearts to receive God's grace and helps us enter into worship with reverence and devotion.

𝗧𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱

Taking a few moments of silence allows us to set aside worldly concerns and focus our minds on God.

Before speaking with others, we should first speak with God, offering Him our intentions, gratitude, and petitions.

𝗧𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁

Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Our prayerful silence is an act of reverence before the King of Kings.

𝗧𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻

Prayer before Mass helps us examine our hearts and prepare to receive Our Lord worthily in Holy Communion.

As Mass begins, we join Catholics throughout the world in offering worship and praise to God as one Body in Christ.

✝️ 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗢 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬?

🙏 Arrive at church a few minutes early.

🙏 Spend time in silent prayer before Mass.

🙏 Offer your intentions to God.

🙏 Greet Jesus present in the Tabernacle.

🙏 Pray for the priest, the congregation, and the needs of the Church.

✝️ 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥

The moments before Mass are a sacred opportunity to prepare our hearts for worship. By praying before Mass begins, we show reverence for God's presence and dispose ourselves to receive the graces He desires to give us.

🙏 Lord Jesus, prepare my heart for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

🙏 Help me to worship You with attention, reverence, and love.
