The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the dates for the open house and dedication of the Bacolod Philippines Temple.
The public is invited to attend the temple’s open house from April 16, 2026 to May 2, 2026 excluding Sundays. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the temple and learn more about its purpose and significance.
Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the temple dedication, scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026.
The Bacolod Philippines Temple is one of two temples in the Philippines to be dedicated in May 2026. The Davao Philippines Temple will be dedicated on May 3, 2026. Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside at the dedication.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the groundbreaking date for the Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple.

Groundbreaking services will be held for the Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple on August 31, 2024. Elder Carlos G. Revillo Jr., Philippines Area President, will preside at the event.

GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET AGAIN. The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square concluded its historic "Himig ng Pag-asa" Philippines Tour with a capstone concert on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Over 9,000 people witnessed the event live at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Additionally, the concert was live-streamed via YouTube and the broadcast page of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and viewed at 200 watch parties in Stakes and District Centers, local cinemas, town halls, and public squares nationwide. Initial YouTube viewership indicates almost 60,000 viewers watched within the first hour.

Beyond the vast turnout and viewership, The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra will leave the Philippines, a music-loving country, in a better state than when they arrived nine days ago. Early media feedback suggests that numerous Filipinos outside of the Church community have discovered the Choir and Orchestra for the first time and have appreciated not only the music and artistry of the four concerts they performed in the country but also its messages of hope, love, and peace. Thank you!

The Book of Mormon begins with an account of a real family experiencing real struggles. It happened in 600 BC, but there are things about this account that might seem familiar to families today. This family was living in a world of wickedness, but the Lord promised them that if they would follow Him, He would lead them to safety. Along the way they had good moments and bad moments, great blessings and miracles, but they also had arguments and contention. Rarely in scripture is there such a detailed account of a family trying to live the gospel: parents struggling to inspire faith in their family and worrying about their safety, children deciding if they will believe their parents, and brothers dealing with jealousy and contention—and sometimes forgiving each other. Overall, there is power in this imperfect family’s examples of faith.
