📸 OFFICIAL POSTER PHOTO CONTEST 2026
"Dumngeg (Listen): Synodal Journey for One Mission"

The National Evangelization and Catechetical Month (NECM) 2026 invites photographers, catechists, youth ministers, parish workers, and all faithful Catholics to participate in the Official Poster Photo Contest for NECM 2026.

Inspired by the theme, "Dumngeg (Listen): Synodal Journey for One Mission," this contest seeks photographs that beautifully capture the life and mission of the Church as a listening, accompanying, and evangelizing community. Through your lens, tell the story of catechists and evangelizers who journey with others in faith, proclaim the Gospel, accompany communities, and participate in the Church's shared mission.

The winning photograph will be featured as the official poster image of the National Month for Evangelization and Catechesis (NMEC) entries will be exhibited during the Annual Meeting of Directors and Coordinators (AMDC) 2026 in Vigan City.

We encourage entries that portray authentic moments of catechesis, evangelization, formation, prayer, dialogue, accompaniment, service, and missionary discipleship. The photograph should clearly reflect the spirit of synodality—a Church that listens, journeys together, and responds to God's call in one mission.

Each diocese may submit only one official entry. All entries must be original works of the participant and must feature a catechist or evangelizer actively engaged in ministry. Photographs should be in portrait orientation and suitable for poster design. The minimum required resolution is 3000 x 4500 pixels, although higher resolutions are strongly encouraged. Files must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format and must not contain text, logos, watermarks, borders, or graphic elements.

Only minimal photo adjustments such as cropping, brightness, contrast, color correction, and sharpening are permitted. AI-generated images, composite photographs, manipulated images, and digitally added or removed subjects are strictly prohibited. Participants are responsible for securing the necessary permissions and consent from identifiable persons appearing in the photograph, especially when minors are involved.

To complete the submission, participants must provide their full name, contact number, email address, diocese, parish, school, or organization, photo title, a short description of the image not exceeding 100 words, and the date and place where the photograph was taken. The file name should follow this format:

DIOCESE_LASTNAME_PHOTOTITLE

Entries will be evaluated based on relevance to the theme and the portrayal of a catechist or evangelizer in action (35%), story and message (25%), composition and visual impact (20%), technical quality (10%), and suitability for official poster use (10%).

📅 Submission Deadline: July 6, 2026

📅 Announcement of Winners: July 24, 2026 during PCNE

By submitting an entry, participants affirm that the photograph is their original work and grant the organizers permission to use selected images for NECM 2026-related pastoral, catechetical, and promotional purposes, with proper photo credit given whenever applicable.

Let your photograph tell the story of a Church that listens, journeys together, and shares one mission.
