April 21, 2025 – Easter Monday
Today, the world grieves the passing of Pope Francis, who left this earthly life on Easter Monday—a day of resurrection, a symbol of hope.
As the first Latin American pope and a tireless advocate for the poor, the marginalized, and our common home, his papacy was marked by humility, mercy, and a deep call to love in action. He challenged us not just to believe, but to live our faith courageously in the service of others.
In his own words:
“I see the Church as a field hospital after battle... The thing the Church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful.”
— Pope Francis
He believed deeply in a Church that embraces, heals, and brings hope to the world. And even in his passing, that vision endures.
May he rest in God’s eternal peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire a Church of compassion, courage, and boundless love.
Dakal pung salamat, Lolo Kiko! You will sure be missed!
