Muli po namin kayong iniimbitahan sa darating na October 27, 2024, Linggo alas tres ng hapon (3:00 PM) 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 10𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗽 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻. Ang aktibidad na pong ito ay inorganisa ng ating Parish Youth Ministry na layuning gunitain ang Araw ng mga Banal at pag-isahin ang kating parokya.

Sa mga nagnanais sumali maaari kayong magpalista sa mismong araw ng aktibidad sa darating na Linggo (October 27, 2024). Magpunta lamang sa kung saan malapit, maaaring sa kapilya Barangay Saguin o sa simbahan ng Villa Julita Subdivision at magpalista sa ating mga registration booths.

Nawa'y makiisa tayo sa aktibidad na pangunguna mismo ng ating mga kabataan ng parokya ng Sto. Cristo del Perdon y Caridad.

The Catholic Church celebrated pentecost last Sunday. The Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, enabling them to preach in various languages, marking the start of their public ministry and the Church's rapid growth. The Holy Spirit has a seven gifts, similarly the church has a seven sacraments.

The Church recognizes seven sacraments, instituted by Christ to confer grace:

1. Baptism: Entry into the Christian community, cleansing original sin.
2. Confirmation: Strengthens baptismal grace with the Holy Spirit's gifts.
3. Eucharist: Reception of Christ's body and blood, commemorating the Last Supper.
4. Penance: Forgiveness of sins through confession and absolution.
5. Anointing of the Sick: Spiritual and physical strength during illness.
6. Holy Orders: Ordination to deaconate, priesthood, or episcopacy.
7. Matrimony: Lifelong union of a man and woman, reflecting Christ's relationship with the Church.

These sacraments are vital to Catholic faith and practice, providing spiritual support throughout life.

"Fiducia supplicans" in simpler terms:

1. Blessings, not marriage: The Church understands blessings as ways to ask for God's grace and favour in various situations. This document clarifies that it's possible to bless same-sex couples without recognizing their union as marriage.

2. No change in marriage teaching: The Church's teaching on marriage as between a man and a woman remains unchanged. This blessing gesture doesn't endorse their relationship but shows God's love for all.

3. Blessings come in different forms: There are formal blessings, like at weddings, and informal ones, like at shrines. This document focuses on informal blessings, where anyone, including those in irregular relationships, can ask for God's blessing.

4. Blessings show humility and need for God: Asking for a blessing expresses trust in God and a desire for his goodness. Even if someone's situation isn't perfect, they can still seek God's grace.

5. Blessings have limits: While the Church can offer blessings to everyone, it can't bless anything contrary to God's will. So, this blessing doesn't legitimize same-sex unions but asks for God's guidance and love.

6. Discernment and respect: The document encourages pastors to use their judgment when deciding about such blessings. The setting and words should be clear to avoid confusion with marriage ceremonies.

December 8 || SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Luke 1:28 (RSVCE)
“Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!”

Blessed Virgin Mary, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God, and in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, was preserved free from every stain of original sin.

Defined by Pope Pius IX in Ineffabilis Deus, 1854, it states that Mary, through God's grace, was conceived free from the stain of original sin through her role as the Mother of God:

"We declare, pronounce, and define that the doctrine which holds that the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin, is a doctrine revealed by God and therefore to be believed firmly and constantly by all the faithful."

"Purer than heaven’s purest angels, brighter than its brightest seraph: Mary, after her Creator, God, made her and gave her all, the most perfect of beings, the masterpiece of Infinite Wisdom, Almighty Power and Eternal Love. To such a being we cannot reasonably suppose that a perfection was denied her which had been already gratuitously bestowed on inferior creatures; on the angelic spirits."

LET US PRAY:
O Virgin immaculate, thou who by a singular privilege of grace wast preserved from original sin, look in pity upon our separated brethren, who are nevertheless thy children, and call them back to the center of unity. Not a few of them, although separated from the Church, have kept a certain veneration for thee; and do thou, generous as thou art, reward them for it, by obtaining for them the grace of conversion.

Thou wast conqueror of the infernal serpent from the first instant of thy existence; renew even now, for it is now more necessary than ever before, thine ancient triumphs; glorify thy divine Son, bring back to Him the sheep that have strayed from the one fold and place them once more under the guidance of the universal Shepherd who holds the place of thy Son on earth; let it be thy glory, O Virgin who destroyest all heresies, to restore unity and peace once more to all the Christian people. Amen.
