On July 24โ25, 2025, the Cabaroan Church of the Nazarene faced one of its greatest physical trials as Tropical Storm Emong swept through the region. The temporary church building was torn down, every corner broken, walls shattered, and everything left drenched and damaged.
Yet while the storm destroyed the structure, it could not shake the spirit of the church. Typhoon Emong may have battered our place of worship, but it never touched the foundation of our faith. Though the church building was left in ruins, our trust in God remains unshakenโfirmly built on the Rock that no storm can move.
We do not allow devastation to define us. Instead, we rise with hope, strengthened by the truth that the Church is not merely a building but a body of believers united in Christ. No matter how strong the winds or how great the loss, we believe that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Today, the church family continues the journey of recovery. In the midst of chaos, we choose to rise. We choose to believe. We choose to stand.
As we continue to rise, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have extended their hands and shared their love with our church by offering support through prayers, relief goods, giving of tents, and financial assistance. Listed below are the following donors:
1. PHILIPPINE LUZON DISTRICT (under the Leadership of our very supportive DS Marcelino and his wife Ptra Thelma Ochoco)
2. NAZARENE COMPASSIONATE MINISTRIES (headed by our National Coordinator Rev. Jaime A.Eniceo)
3. HILLTOP CADACLAN CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE (under Ptr. Wilson Menguita)
4. CAROSUCAN and NATIVIDAD CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE (under Rev. Saul and Ptra Evangeline Eugenio)
5. Ms. Florabel Nisperos
6. THE SOULS and SOUNDS MINISTRIES
The entire Cabaroan Church of the Nazarene is beyond blessed and grateful to everyone who offered a helping hand during this time of recovery. You have become instruments of Godโs grace, and your kindness will forever be remembered.
