Miracle That Led to Priesthood

His life once teetered on the brink of darkness, like a frail candle flickering in the winds of doubt, until one prayer, whispered in the depths of pain, became the spark that reignited his soul and guided him toward a purpose far greater than he had ever imagined.
At 30 years old, newly ordained priest Rev. Fr. Vincent R. Pascua stands as a testament to transformation, faith, and redemption. A member of the Crusaders of the Divine Church of Christ and hailing from Pinili Chapter, his story is not one of a straight path to vocation but of struggle, surrender, and ultimately, purpose.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Victorino Pascua, Fr. Vincent Pascua characterizes his early life as simple yet directionless. He admits to once living a life consumed by vices, unsure of where he was going. ""Before, I was just a normal person,"" he explains. ""My life lacked direction. All I did was indulge in things that did not add purpose to my life.""
Everything changed when he confronted what he refers to as his life's greatest challenge, a sickness that left him fragile and helpless. In that time of weakness, when hope seemed far away, he turned to faith.
โNagdasal ako kay Ama,โ he recalls. โI said, โAma, help me and heal me, and I will dedicate my life to serving you.โโ
Not only was physical recovery accomplished, but spiritual enlightenment occurred as well. Fr. Vincent believes that his illness was more than just a setback, but a heavenly reminder. He could no longer ignore the call. He reflects, goosebumps rising. ""He heard my prayer, and he answered it.""
His recovery was not the end of his journey. The challenges he originally believed were insurmountable served as the basis for his vocation. Along the process, he discovered strength not only in his confidence in Ama RSMโs guidance but also in the people who supported, loved, trusted, and believed in him at his darkest times.
โThese struggles shaped me into the priest I am today,โ he says with quiet conviction.
Now, as Rev. Fr. Vincent R. Pascua begins his ministry, he does so not only with Church teachings but also with a very personal miracle of grace. His narrative speaks volumes, reminding us that even at the lowest times in life, there is hope for renewal.
As many people in the world seek meaning, Fr. Vincent's experience conveys a strong lesson: sometimes one is rebuilt through brokenness and ultimately finds direction through surrender to God.
With one humble call to his name, God responds in ways we never imagined.
