Minsan akala natin na ang spiritual maturity is just attending church or knowing Bible stories. Pero sa buhay ni Enoch, ipinakita niya na ang tunay na spiritual maturity ay ang paglalakad kasama ang Diyos nang personal at consistent. Kahit corrupt at makasalanan ang mundo noon, pinili pa rin niyang sumunod at mamuhay na kalugod-lugod sa Diyos.
A mature walk with God doesnโ€™t happen overnight. Nagsisimula ito sa personal relationship kay Lord, at araw-araw natin Siyang pinipili kahit mahirap, kahit hindi uso, kahit maraming tukso. At habang tumatagal, nagmamature tayo spiritually. Nawa tulad ni Enoch, ang buhay rin natin ay dapat may maiwang testimonyโ€”not about how good we are, but about how faithful God has been in our lives. Sana, when people see us, makita nila na possible pa rin mamuhay na malapit kay Lord, even in todayโ€™s generation. Keep walking with God; spiritual maturity is a journey in pursuit of Christ. More of Him and less of us.

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Wait on the Lord. For He is not done yet. Even when we feel nothing happens. For our hope is not in the seen; we live by faith, not by sight. And faith is the assurance of the things that we hope for (Heb 11:1). May we not grow weary in waiting seasons; may we not consider it as punishment. But it's a precious time to grow and mature so we can faithfully steward that blessing we are waiting for. Just keep waiting and trusting God's timing; we could be one step closer to that blessing. God renews the strength of those who wait on Him (Isa 40:31). Keep waiting and remove that doubt in your heart; instead, entrust to God everything that you've been praying for. And have faith that He will answerโ€”in His own divine ways and timing. Waiting becomes worship and testimony in the making if it's accompanied by faith. Let us serve while we are waiting and let God mold us.

We are constantly learning how to trust God completely, especially on days we feel lost and in places that are unfamiliar. We always hold onto His words in Proverbs 3:5-6. For we know that through trials we are growing stronger; they refine our character (James 1:2-3). More likely, He is changing us into His image. And as we continue to grow deeper, we reflect Christ through our actions, as Matthew 5:16 states, we are meant to let our light shine to glorify our Father in heaven." We are meant to grow deeper in faith and character for His glory and by His power.

Si Anna ay isang example ng faithful prayer warrior. Kahit widow na siya at matanda na, tuloy pa rin siya nanalangin, nag fafasting, at pagsamba. Pinapakita niya na sa spiritual battles, panalangin ang matibay na sandata natin. Habang nag-iintercede tayo para sa iba at nagpe-pray for peace, mas lalo rin tayong nagiging dependent sa Panginoon. Gaya ni Anna, maging persistent lang tayo sa buhay panalangin at laging magtiwala sa Diyos sa lahat ng situation natin sa buhay.
