Text: The Testimony of Faith (Hebrews 11)
By: Ptr. Cristine

1. Faith Is Substance
Faith is the substance of things hoped for.
* Faith is the assurance that what God has promised, we will receive.
* Faith gives substance to what we hope for and allows God’s promises to become reality in our lives.
* Faith is tangible and produces results.
* Faith is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8).
* Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
* God imparts specific faith for specific needs.
* Until God gives us faith, we cannot fully understand His Word.
* Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit requires faith.
* Faith is needed to believe that God is Jehovah Jireh—our Provider.
* Faith does not contradict reason, though it may go beyond reason.
* We must not use faith to pursue selfish or sinful desires.

2. Faith Enables Us to Understand Creation
* By faith, we understand that we came from God.
* Faith helps us believe that there is a divine and loving Creator.
* Through faith, we realize that our lives have purpose.
* Until we understand where we came from, we will never understand where we are going.
* Some do not receive faith because they harden their hearts.
* Even demons believe in God, but true faith leads us to trust and obey Him.

3. Faith Enables Us to Offer a More Excellent Sacrifice
* Hebrews 11:4 tells us that Abel offered a more excellent sacrifice.
* Abel offered by faith according to God’s terms.
* Cain offered according to his own terms.
* Sometimes our offerings are not pleasing to God because we give on our own terms rather than in obedience.
* Only through faith and a relationship with God can we know what kind of sacrifice pleases Him.

4. Faith Is the Only Way to Receive God’s Approval
* Job shows us that our good works alone are not enough.
* God is pleased not by our own righteousness, but by faith.
* If we depend only on our goodness, we will fall short.
* If we lack faith, we should ask the Lord, and He will provide.

May we continually ask God to increase our faith. When our faith is weak, may we trust that He will strengthen us so that we can believe His promises, obey His Word, and live lives that are pleasing to Him. 🙏

Text: The Feast of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:23–25)
By: Ptr. Cristine

The Jewish people celebrate the Feast of Trumpets as the beginning of a 10-day period of reflection and repentance, leading to the Day of Atonement.

God commanded Israel to observe this feast as a memorial with the blowing of trumpets on the first day of the seventh month.

In Numbers 10:1–4, God instructed Moses to make two silver trumpets:
* Made of silver — symbolizing redemption
* Made from one piece — symbolizing unity
* Blown together — a witness of God’s greater purpose for His people

Purposes of Blowing the Trumpets:
* To call the assembly together (Numbers 10:1)
* To signal when the Lord wanted them to journey to a new place
* To warn the people in times of danger and war (Numbers 10:9)

May we recognize that God is still blowing the trumpet in our lives—calling us to gather in His presence, to move when He leads, and to heed His warnings.

May we listen carefully and respond with obedient hearts. 🙏

Text: Passing Down Faith
By: Ptr. Cristine

Passing down the faith is one of the most important responsibilities of every Christian. When we read the Bible, we see that faith is not meant to stop with us—it is meant to be passed on to the next generation. It is an intentional, relational process of modeling, teaching, and living out our spiritual convictions.

Being a Christian is not only about what we say, but also about how we live.

1. Intentional Teaching – Deuteronomy 6:1–2, 6–9

We are called to intentionally teach the Word of God. Faith must be shared consistently in our homes and daily lives.

2. Modeling and Mentoring – 2 Timothy 1:5; Titus 2:1–8

We pass down faith by example. Our lives should reflect Christ so others can learn through our walk and not just our words.

3. Training – Proverbs 22:6; Psalm 78:5–7

Even at a young age, we must train children in the ways of the Lord—teaching them to pray, obey God, and know His Word. When faith is faithfully passed down, the next generation will rise to serve the Lord.

In today’s generation, many young people are growing without strong faith foundations. One possible reason is that previous generations failed to intentionally pass down their faith.

4. Discipleship – Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8

We are called to make disciples. Let us desire not only to believe, but to lead others into a growing relationship with Christ.

May we all have a deep desire to faithfully pass down our faith to the next generation.
