The SCBCP Safeguarding Team conducted its first Personal Safety Lesson (PSL) session for the year at the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Station. The activity was attended by their officers and BEC President and members, who actively participated in the discussion and sharing.
The session came at a very timely moment, as it coincided with the celebration of the Feast of the Sto. Niño. This meaningful occasion reminded everyone of the Church’s special call to protect, care for, and nurture children, reflecting the innocence, vulnerability, and hope embodied by the Child Jesus.
Through the PSL, participants were given the opportunity to deepen their understanding of safeguarding, not only as a set of policies, but as a shared responsibility rooted in faith, compassion, and community. The gathering became both a learning experience and a moment of reflection, strengthening the commitment of the community to create safe, loving, and protective spaces for all, especially for children and the most vulnerable.
