In a digital age filled with distractions, we are reminded of what truly matters: Christ comes first.

Mark 8:36–37 reminds us that gaining the whole world means nothing if we lose our soul. With so many things competing for our attention, we intentionally choose Christ above everything else.

Technology is a tool, not a master. Phones, social media, and technology can be useful, but they should never control our attention, values, or identity. We choose to use technology wisely while keeping Christ at the center.

It’s a personal decision.
“I Choose Christ” is more than a song—it is our response. Even when the world offers so many things to pursue, we choose Jesus.

May our choices, both online and offline, always reflect who we choose to follow.

Christ first. Always.

Technology can help us gain more, do more, and reach more—but it can never make our souls more holy.

Today, Mark 8:34–38 reminded us that the greatest loss isn’t losing what we own, but losing what we can never replace: our soul.

The question isn’t simply, “How much technology do I use?”
It’s, “What is technology doing to my walk with Christ?”

Try this this week:
📱 Use technology as a tool, not a master
⏳ Give God your time before giving it to your screen
🔍 Ask, “Is this helping or distracting me from Christ?”
✝️ Use technology to honor God and point others to Him

Technology is temporary. Your soul is eternal.

Before the Word was even preached, our choir set the tone this morning. 🎶

“That’s Where Wisdom Begins” — a fitting special number as we opened James 1:5 together, reminding us that real wisdom doesn’t begin with information. It begins with God.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” — James 1:5

In an age where Artificial Intelligence can provide answers in seconds, we are reminded that information is not the same as wisdom. AI can provide information, but God provides wisdom. True wisdom begins when we recognize our need for Him and seek Him for understanding, discernment, and direction.

Thank you to our choir for leading us into worship and preparing our hearts for the message. May we continue to use technology wisely without ever allowing it to replace our dependence on God.

Winning Wednesday Prayer Meeting | Jesus’ Eternality

What a blessed evening in God’s presence!

Tonight, we were reminded that Jesus Christ is eternal—before all things, above all things, and the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:16–17).

His eternality calls us to:
✨ Awareness — Our lives belong to Christ, our Creator and Sustainer.
🔥 Action — Every soul will spend eternity either in heaven or in hell, compelling us to faithfully share the gospel.
🙏 Alertness — Living each day ready to meet our Lord, knowing eternity is nearer than we think.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Winning Wednesday Prayer Meeting as we continue our monthly theme, “The Deity of Christ.”

May the truths we learned tonight not remain in our minds alone but be reflected in the way we worship, serve, and proclaim Christ throughout the week.

“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” — Colossians 1:17

Before the mind is renewed, the life is surrendered.

Romans 12:2 asks who’s shaping your mind. But Romans 12:1 comes first — and it isn’t a question, it’s a call: offer yourselves as a living sacrifice.

Not “what can AI do.” Not “what does the algorithm say.” The real starting point of a renewed mind is a surrendered heart.

Our choir opened this series with exactly that declaration.

But an empty tomb changes everything.

Paul didn’t hedge on this: if Christ did not rise, our faith is worthless (1 Cor 15:14). No middle ground — either He rose, or none of this matters.

This Winning Wednesday, we unpack why the resurrection isn’t an Easter memory we revisit once a year — it’s the power behind identity, transformation, and victory, still active today. Including in you.

Life is worth living just because He lives.

But an empty tomb changes everything.

In a world searching for answers, it is tempting to place our confidence in ourselves, in institutions, or in the leaders of our nations. We celebrate progress and pray for good governance, but even the greatest achievements of any nation are temporary.

Our hope has never been in human strength.

Our hope is not in ourselves.
Our hope is not in our church.
Our hope is not in governments or political leaders.

Our hope is in Jesus Christ—the King whose reign will never end.

As we sang this anthem today, a power outage interrupted us. But even the darkness of a brownout could not silence the truth we were proclaiming. No outage can stop God's people from declaring that Jesus is the Hope for all nations. Microphones may fail, lights may go out, but the gospel continues to shine, and our voices will continue to praise the One who is our everlasting hope.

The same Lord who brings light into darkness, restores broken lives, heals hearts, and welcomes prodigals home is still the hope of every people, every tribe, and every nation. This is not wishful thinking or empty optimism. Biblical hope is a confident expectation because it rests on the unchanging character and finished work of Christ.

As we sang, "Hope, hope, hope for all nations," we were reminded that the gospel is the only lasting hope our world needs. Nations will rise and fall, kingdoms will come and go, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has always been, and forever He will be, our hope.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen as His heritage." — Psalm 33:12

May we continue to boldly declare to every nation, in every circumstance—even when the lights go out—that our hope is Christ alone.
