When fear rises, it often feels like the loudest voice in the room. Your thoughts race, your body tightens, and peace seems out of reach. Yet God does not ask you to pretend you are never afraid. He invites you to choose where your mind rests, even while the storm is still present.
Isaiah 26:3 promises something specific: You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Perfect peace does not mean life becomes calm overnight. It means God becomes calm beneath what you feel. His peace holds steady when your circumstances do not.
To have your mind stayed on Him is an active decision. It is turning from spirals of what could go wrong and returning to what cannot fail. Trust is not just a feeling after a good day, it is reliance in the middle of a hard one. When you pray, do not only ask for relief. Also ask for Godโs presence to guard your thoughts.
Practically, pause once today and name one truth about God that you can hold onto. Then breathe slowly and tell Him, out loud if possible, โI rest my mind on You.โ Let that be your first step back to steadiness.
Peace grows where trust lives, and trust grows through repeated surrender. If you keep returning to God during pressure, His calm will begin to shape how fear speaks to you.
