On this blessed day of June 6, 2026, our community gathered with great joy and reverence to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at Saint Vincent De Paul Mission Station. The Holy Mass and the administration of the sacrament were presided over by Most Rev. Gerardo D. Alminaza, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of San Carlos. It was a deeply meaningful milestone for our candidates, who stepped forward to publicly confirm their baptismal promises and receive the grace of the Holy Spirit.

As the Bishop sealed each candidate with the gift of the Holy Spirit, the church was filled with a powerful sense of peace, unity, and hope for the future of our parish. As these newly confirmed individuals embark on their journey as fully initiated members of the Catholic Church, we offer our warmest prayers for them. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide, protect, and ignite a strong fire of faith in their hearts. May they always walk in love and dedicated service to God and to our community here at Saint Vincent De Paul Mission Station.

On this same blessed day of June 6, 2026, right after the joyful celebration of Kasalan ng Bayan, another meaningful and historic event took place at Saint Vincent De Paul Mission Station. The formal Turn Over Rites and Holy Mass. This sacred occasion was presided over by Most Rev. Gerardo D. Alminaza, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese, who led the rites for the official transfer of leadership and duties. The service and care of the mission station were formally handed over from Rev. Fr. Antonio D. Canumay to Rev. Fr. Antonio D. Brasona Jr., who now serves as the new Priest In-Charge of our community.

In his message and homily, Bishop Alminaza spoke about the beautiful nature of service and leadership in the Church. He taught that being a priest is a special calling from God, to guide, teach, and care for His people like a good shepherd. He expressed deep gratitude to Rev. Fr. Antonio D. Canumay for all his years of dedicated service, love, and guidance to our community. He recognized how Fr. Canumay nurtured our faith, led us in the Sacraments, and helped our mission station grow in grace and unity. His work and kindness will always be remembered and cherished by everyone here.

Bishop Alminaza also formally welcomed Rev. Fr. Antonio D. Brasona Jr. as our new spiritual leader. He reminded us that this turn over is not an end, but a continuation of Godโ€™s great work among us. He explained that the mission and the community belong to God, and priests are only His instruments to lead us closer to Him. He encouraged Fr. Brasona Jr. to continue building on the good foundation laid before him, to lead with love, patience, and faith, and to always be close to the people he serves. At the same time, he called on all the faithful to support, respect, and cooperate with our new priest, just as we did before, so that together we may grow stronger in our Catholic faith.

As we mark this new chapter for Saint Vincent De Paul Mission Station, we offer our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Canumay for his faithful service, and we pray that God blesses him abundantly in his next assignment. We also open our hearts and homes to Fr. Brasona Jr., promising our prayers, help, and unity as he leads our community. May God continue to bless our mission station, keep us united in love and faith, and make us a community that always shines with Godโ€™s goodness and grace.

Last June 6, 2026, a truly blessed and memorable event took place: the Kasalan ng Bayan, where 10 couples officially entered the Sacrament of Matrimony and were united in holy wedlock. The sacred wedding ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Antonio D. Canumay, who led the rites, received their vows, and gave Godโ€™s blessings to all the newly married couples.

In his homily, Fr. Canumay taught everyone about the true meaning and value of marriage. He explained that Matrimony is a holy Sacrament from God, not just a simple agreement or celebration. It is a special bond that joins a man and a woman as one, filled with Godโ€™s grace to help them love, respect, and stay faithful to each other for a lifetime. He reminded the couples that their marriage is a reflection of Godโ€™s love โ€” a love that is patient, kind, forgiving, and always loyal.

Fr. Canumay also spoke about the significance of Kasalan ng Bayan. He said this celebration shows that marriage is not only between two people, but is also supported and blessed by the whole community and the Church. He encouraged the newlyweds to build their family with prayer, trust, and faith in God. He told them that in happy times or difficult moments, God is always with them, and the community will always pray for and stand beside them. He also reminded them to raise their children in the Catholic faith, so their home will always be a place of peace, goodness, and Godโ€™s presence.

To the 10 couples who were joined in marriage that day, may your life together be full of joy, understanding, and abundant blessings from the Lord. May you always keep the promises you made before God and everyone present. May your love grow deeper every day, and may your family be an example of a faithful and happy Christian life. As a community, let us continue to pray for them, that they may remain true to their vows and live happily together in Godโ€™s grace.

In the afternoon of the same day, the grand and colorful Santacruzan procession was held at the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Station. This sacred tradition served as the beautiful finale to our month-long Flores de Mayo celebration, bringing our community together in deep devotion. The procession featured the lovely *sagalas* and their escorts who represented different historical and biblical figures, walking through our community with lighted candles and beautiful flower arches to honor the Holy Cross and Mama Mary.

Families, youth, and elders from different GKKs joined side-by-side to pray the Holy Rosary during the procession. It was a wonderful display of faith, unity, and cultural heritage that brought inspiration to everyone who watched along the streets. The event truly showed the vibrant spirit of our parish, proving that our traditions remain alive and strong through the cooperation of every member of our faith community.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, youth, organizers, and devotees of the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Station who dedicated their time and effort to make this Santacruzan meaningful and successful. May Mama Mary continue to intercede for our community, protect our families, and always bring us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ.

โ€œTrain up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.โ€ โ€” Proverbs 22:6

On the same day, a joyful celebration was held as part of the special program for the Culmination of Flores de Mayo. After a month of offering flowers and learning about our faith, the children gathered that filled with laughter, learning, and fun.

While the parlor games were being enjoyed by the children, a Quiz Bee was also ongoing. Every GKK (Gagmay'ng Kristohanong Katilingban) sent their own representatives to compete. The Quiz Bee focused on the catechism and the importance of Flores de Mayo in our faith, testing what the children learned during their month-long catechism classes.

The children truly enjoyed the parlor games, showing great teamwork and sportsmanship. At the same time, the Quiz Bee participants showed their deep understanding of our Catholic faith. It was a wonderful sight to see their bright smiles and sharp minds, bringing life and pride to our church community.

In the afternoon, the awarding ceremony took place. Certificates, awards, and special gifts were given to the children to thank them for their dedication. Special rewards were also handed out to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runners-up of the Quiz Bee for their excellent performance.

This event reminds us that our church is a place of joy, friendship, and deep faith. May the love of Jesus and the examples of Mother Mary continue to grow in the hearts of our children as they grow up to be the future of our church.
