In this Community of Disciples, we envision everyone to be more enlightened and informed; uniting ourselves to give freedom to the oppressed and the marginalized, and inspiring the y

VIVA SANTA CLARA! | As One Franciscan Community, our Parish joins the Poor Clare Monastery in Tayud, Consolacion in celebration of the Solemnity of St. Clare of Assisi with the theme: "Saint Clare: Witness to the Easter of Saint Francis".

The Fiesta Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Renee Dean, OFM, Provincial Minister of the Province of San Antonio De Padua- Philippines. He is joined with our very own Parish Team of Pastors : Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Zarate, OFM, Rev. Fr. Mark Ivan Merilo, OFM, and Rev. Fr. Rey Canonoy, OFM. Along with other Franciscan Priests and Friars, Diocesan Priests, MSP Priests, and the Poor Clare Nuns.

VIVA SANTA CLARA! | In the Solemnity of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Poor Clare Monastery in Tayud, Consolacion celebrated its 5th Day Novena Mass in honor of St. Clare of Assisi.

The Holy Mass was presided over by our very own Parish Pastor, Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Zarate, OFM. Together with him is our Parish Guardian, Rev. Fr. Mark Ivan Merilo, OFM, other concelebrating priest, and the Poor Clare Nuns.

During his homily, Fr. Mark emphasizes that the things we look forward to transform who we are and our choices. In the Transfiguration of the Lord, our God reminds us of the truth of heaven- a place all of us aspire where we will be.

The Monastery will celebrate its Feast Day on August 11, 2026. Rev. Fr. Renee Dean, OFM, Provincial Minister of the Province of San Antonio de Padua - Philippines will preside over the 10 AM Fiesta Mass.

As we come together for this despedida reception, we look back with gratitude on the moments that shaped us, the challenges that strengthened us, and the friendships that made the journey worthwhile.

LOOK | To honor the journey we had been with Rev. Fr. Allan Jose Arcebuche, OFM, Rev. Fr. Reycel Centino, OFM, and Br. Mark Joy Basallajes, OFM, a Thanksgiving Mass was offered as they embark on a new chapter as Franciscan Friars to their next community.

The mass was presided over by Fr. Reycel Centino, OFM. Fr. Mark Anthony Zarate, OFM shared the homily.

Today, we gather with grateful hearts to thank God for the blessings, memories, and journeys we have shared. As one chapter comes to a close, we entrust the next to His loving guidance.

DAGHANG SALAMAT MGA IGSOON | With grateful hearts, we gather as one family in faith to celebrate this Thanksgiving Mass and Despedida. Today, we give thanks to God for the gift of service, fraternity, and the countless blessings shared through the ministry of our dear Franciscan brothers.

As we bid farewell to Rev. Fr. Allan Jose Arcebuche, OFM, Bro. Mark Joy Basallajes, OFM, and Rev. Fr. Reycel Centino, OFM, we entrust them to the Lord's loving care as they continue their mission wherever they are called to serve.

May God reward your dedication, guide your journey, and bless you abundantly. You will always remain in our prayers and in the hearts of our parish family.

PAX ET BONUM! | With hearts full of gratitude and joy, we warmly welcome our Franciscan brothers who have been entrusted to serve our parish community, Rev. Fr. Mark Ivan T, Merilo, OFM, our very own Parish Friary Guardian, together with Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Zarate, OFM, our parish priest, and Rev. Fr. Rey Canonoy, OFM, the bursar. As they begin their ministry in our parish, may the Lord bless them with wisdom, strength, and joy as they lead His people closer to Him.

We would also like to thank Rev. Fr. Allan Jose Arcebuche, OFM, Br. Mark Joy Basallajes, OFM, and Rev. Fr. Reycel Centino, OFM for their unwavering support and love to our parish. May we include them in our prayers as they begin a new mission for the Lord.

DAGHANG SALAMAT, BISHOP BOY | With profound sorrow, our parish joins The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu in mourning the passing of Cebu Auxiliary Bishop-Emeritus Emilio “Boy” Bataclan. A shepherd devoted to God's people, his legacy of faith, compassion, and service will continue to inspire generations.

May he now find eternal peace in the presence of the Lord whom he faithfully served.

Eternal rest grant unto Bishop Boy, O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
