A Blessed and Joyful Birthday, Rev. Fr. Maximo “Jun” D. Villanueva Jr.!

Today, we prayerfully remember and give thanks to God for the gift of life and vocation of Rev. Fr. Maximo “Jun” D. Villanueva Jr., Parish Priest of the Quasi-Parish of St. Anthony of Padua, Daang Pari, Orion, Bataan.

We are especially grateful and blessed to remember that Fr. Jun received the Sacrament of Holy Orders and was ordained to the priesthood in our beloved parish. His priestly vocation remains a beautiful reminder of God’s call to serve His people with faith, love, and humility.

On this special day, may the Lord continue to strengthen him in his ministry, grant him wisdom and courage in shepherding His flock, and bless him with good health, joy, and abundant grace.

Memorial of Saint Hyacinth of Poland

St. Hyacinth, the glorious apostle of Poland and Russia, was born of noble parents in Poland, about the year 1185. His early education was entrusted to the care of his uncle, a pious priest who later became Bishop of Krakow. Hyacinth manifested so much learning and piety that he was sent to complete his studies at the best universities in Europe.

He was canonized in 1594 by Pope Clement VIII. The feast day of St. Hyacinth is celebrated on Aug. 17.
