With heavy hearts, we announce that President Jeffrey R. Holland, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at approximately 3:15 a.m. MST from complications associated with kidney disease, while surrounded by his family. He was 85.

Family Fun Run 2025

On September 20, the Davao Philippines Buhangin Stake held a Family History Exhibit and Fireside.

The exhibit transported guests back in time, featuring inspiring testimonies from early members of the Church in Mindanao, stories dating back to World War II, treasured 1960s recipes like homemade pastillas, heirloom photographs, handwritten letters, journals, keepsakes from loved ones, an old uniform that is already 16 years of age, an old telephone, even an old projector and many more—showing how faith is not just passed down but nurtured through generations.

The evening continued with a touching fireside that included a theatrical musical, reminding everyone that family bonds extend beyond the veil and that our ancestors need our help through family history and temple work.

The event concluded with a joyful stake family dinner in potluck style, where each ward and branch shared food and fellowship, truly building forever families.

It was a powerful reminder that while time changes the world around us, the faith and love within families remain timeless.
