The Davao Philippines Temple is scheduled to be closed for maintenance from August 31 to September 14, 2026.

Regular temple operations will resume after the maintenance period. Please plan your temple visits and appointments accordingly.

🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF SISTER LUZVISMINDA ABCEDE GONZAGA 🕊️

With grateful hearts, we remember Sister Luzvisminda Gonzaga, a faithful pioneer of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints whose life was a beautiful example of faith, devotion, and enduring commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sister Luzvisminda was baptized on December 2, 1978. From that day forward, she remained steadfast in her faith and dedicated her life to the Lord, her family, and the Church. As one of the pioneers of the gospel, she helped lay a foundation of faith that continues to bless generations.

May her life of faith and devotion continue to inspire us, and may the memories she left behind bring comfort and peace to all who loved her.

Rest in peace, Sister Luzvisminda. Your faith, love, and legacy will never be forgotten. 🤍

Transportation:
Friends and family attending the burial may travel in their personal vehicles. A van for those who would like to join the group is also being arranged. Van details are TBA and will be announced once finalized.

Elder Carlos G. Revillo Jr., Philippines Area President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and his wife, Sister Marie Revillo, together with Elder Steven D. Shumway, counselor in the Philippines Area Presidency, and his wife, Sister Heidi Shumway, paid a courtesy visit to Naga City Mayor Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo ahead of the groundbreaking of the Naga Philippines Temple.

During the visit, Mayor Robredo expressed appreciation for the Church’s humanitarian assistance during times of calamity and its continued partnership in serving local communities. Church leaders expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work together to bless the lives of individuals and families in Naga City.

They also discussed the purpose of temples and how they help individuals and families draw closer to Jesus Christ and strengthen their commitment to follow Him.

Called to Serve! 🇦🇺

Last Friday, July 24, 2026 | 6PM, our branch came together for a wonderful evening heartfelt fellowship and fun as we celebrated Elder Bruce Ian Laureano before he begins his mission in the Australia Brisbane South Mission.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share memories, offer words of encouragement, and remind Elder Laureano that he has an entire branch family cheering him on.

One thing we'll all remember is that his favorite food is adobo and we're pretty sure that's what he'll miss the most over the next two years! 😄🍗 Don't worry, Elder, we'll have a big serving of adobo waiting for you when you come home!

As you embark this journey, may the Lord bless and strengthen you each day. May you teach with faith, serve with humility, and help many come unto Christ through your testimony.

We rejoice as Sisters Zarlitjean Cagampang, Fia Mae Leniogao, and Brother Raymond Zamoras received their temple endowment on July 18, 2026, at the Davao Philippines Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

May this sacred covenant bring greater strength, peace, and guidance as they continue to walk the covenant path and draw closer to our Savior, Jesus Christ.
