On St. Joseph the Worker's Feast: Groundbreaking Blessings for Future Classrooms

Marking the Feast Day of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1, 2026, St. Joseph Catholic School of Sagay, Inc., broke ground for its soon-to-rise 2 storey, 10-classroom building symbolizing unwavering faith, diligent labor, and hope for tomorrow's leaders.

Led by Rev. Fr. Joferson P. Garces (outgoing Parish Priest and School Director) and Rev. Fr. Earl Aureo Castillo (incoming Parish Priest and School Director), the ceremony drew clergy including Rev. Val Anthony Mahilum, Rev. Fr. Aristedes Rivera, Rev. Fr. Buena Flores Jr., and Most Rev. Gerardo Alminaza, D.D.

Distinguished guests and community leaders, Engr. Vivencio Flores, Ms. Sofia Marañon, Mrs. Sonia Sarrosa, Hon. Exequiel Marañon, Hon. Conception Javellana, Mr. & Mrs. Gutierrez, Mrs. Tessie Singbenco, and Hon. Alfredo G. Marañon III joined in this inspiring milestone.

In view of the pastoral needs of the Diocesan Schools of the Diocese of San Carlos in preparation for the new school year, the effectivity of the appointment of the newly appointed School Directors, together with the Diocesan Schools Superintendent, is hereby advanced to an earlier date than the original schedule of June 12, 2026.

This adjustment is made to ensure an orderly and effective transition of leadership and to support the continued mission of providing quality Catholic education in our diocesan schools.

All concerned are kindly requested to assume their responsibilities accordingly and to coordinate with the Diocesan Schools Commission for proper guidance.

Let us keep them in our prayers, that the Lord may grant them wisdom, humility, and strength in their service to the Church and our educational mission.
